Stateside, a turnover is a sort of pastry, although you might call it a pasty. If you search "apple turnover" in different regions you might find extremely different results, that is is Apple were to report turnover instead of revenue.

Steve, I've seen you argue this for years on Kipper and the like. The Stadium was there. Kings Dock. On a plate. Bill backed another group with cash. The GFE. To scupper the move. This is Fact as an old poster from the past - Frank Hargreaves - was the receipeint of the cash (60,000) as I remember to get Ward McHugh to draw up a proposal to make Goodison 50'000 seater. We lost our chance with Billy Blunder.Your posts are always well thought out and presented, and give cause for thought. Other posters are now posting in the same non acrimonious style and this is a small beginning. In your first paragraph you mention improving the clubs financial situation, and your second paragraph you confirm that the clubs financial situation is stable. It is not so long aga that financial stability was the unattainable Golden Fleece for many UK football clubs..it still is in the lower leagues and it is only the new TV deal which has allowed a lot of Premier League clubs to achieve stability. What we are talking about is using Evertons stability as a base from which to build sufficient spending power to allow us to buy 'Better' players to compete more closely with the 'top four'. In this respect, the stadium is a millstone around our necks. A new stadium or a completely refurbished GP is a must within the next few years...and the new stadium must not be built for 'now' it must be built to accomodate even more fans, from around the world, when they are attracted by our (presumed) success on the field.

Kenwright's business competence to praising his bedroom prowess with the ladies. Surreal.
Your mate sounds like an ignorant glory hunting bell.Gave a City supporting colleague of mine a lift home last night and was trying to explain to him the pro and for arguments in regards to the board. He seemed a bit confused by it all. I genuinely think most fans of other clubs think Everton is well run
He felt it was strange that the two biggest threads on an Everton forum were one about the board and one about Liverpool. I had to chuckle and shrug my shoulders. Everton that innit?
Sheff wed been taking over by the owner of lens. But clubs aren't being bought are they bill? Or is that ones that actually ARE for sale?
I fail to see why a Ligue 2 owner buying a Championship side has any bearing on the sale of Everton.Sheff wed been taking over by the owner of lens. But clubs aren't being bought are they bill? Or is that ones that actually ARE for sale?
Hardly the same though is it, ones a lower championship club the other is a team pushing for a champions league place.
It's like trying to buy a mansion with a budget for a terraced house
I fail to see why a Ligue 2 owner buying a Championship side has any bearing on the sale of Everton.
But that doesn't make sense.I'm making a point about clubs being bought and if were actually for sale
But still clubs are being bought mate obviously it's less than a prem team
But that doesn't make sense.
It's like saying cars are being sold because people are buying Yugo's, but you can't get rid of your Mercedes.
When Villa gets sold, that will be a better case. And it will happen, I don't disagree with your premise, it's just not a good comparison.
Football clubs at our level aren't being bought, like I said the finances this guy needed to buy and improve Sheff Wed are completely different to the sort of finances you'd need to have to buy us and improve us.
Sheffiled Wednesday being bought out proves nothing.
