The Everton Board Thread 2014/15

Is it time for change?

  • I'm happy with the way thing are. Kenwright and the Board should stay.

  • Kenwright and the board need to go. We need change.

Both recommended by the 'professionals' charged with selling the club, and fortunately sussed by BK as soon as he got involved(source..Blue Union 'secret tape'(my God..that was a sensible way to go about things...not).
Yes, recommended by the people they still have looking for 'investors'

I am not in a position to agree to sell the club, its not mine to sell. But you knew that already.

Well thats an answer, but not an answer to the question I asked. Let me know the question you were answering, and we can continue....or do I smell a diversion? Do you agree that my proposal above, offered entirely free of charge to the BU, is sensible and forward thinking? The BU can name the professionals they will use, and by doing that show the club that they are thinking clearly and positively and not just stirring things up for the sake of it.

Exactly...and this is my point, partly...the BU, if they are serious, just have to name the professionals they will use, and they will gain massively in credibility with supporters, and more discreetly, with some or all of the board. If the BU want to be taken seriously, they need to be serious, and not keep repeating the same old flannel. I'm handing a massive credibility score here to the BU, but apparently they're not serious enough in their 'aims' to grasp it with both hands.you feel that there is a lack of transperancy from the board, the best way to highlight or fight this is by being transparent yourself. I'm beginning to think the BU are worthless.

I believe they have put forward names of companies who deal with the sale of sports teams and large companies.

But it shouldnt be BU job, the board have been pressed on this issue before why they don't go down different channels to find a buyer and theyve always said there happy with how theyre going about it now. Well obviously thats not working, barely had a sniff in 20 years and when they have its the likes of that fella sitting off in a bedsit

why are people demanding a plan from BU but not from the club?!?!?

why aren't @Steve Wigan & @nil satis asking the current board what is their plan to sell the club? what is their plan to move forward off the pitch?

surely thats the first direction any evertonian should look in?

The club appointed professionals to sell the club some time ago. These professionals were not successful. The BU has said it will appoint professionals to sell the club. It is up to the BU to say who these professionals will be, and the board will then need to employ the BU professionals to sell the club. Down the line it is the board who will sell...they can act on recommendations from professionals or not, its the boards decision. The BU can't sell Everton, because they don't own Everton. But the BU, acting in the interests of the club(in their opinion) can recommend selling agents to the board. That is as far as the BUs influence can go. How strong the BU influence can be is down to how well the case is presented and how strong their suipport will be. But the BU have to be professional and credible in what they do, its the only way they will achieve anything.

Some nice deflection onto BU bashing taking place. Let's get the focus back onto the board and its stagnation

Wouldnt the BU be a possible outlet for focusing on the board though?

As a not overly informed fan reading this thread to get a bit more informed, it seems fair enough questioning what the BU do, and giving opinions on what they could do better.

If the board need changing then an active fans group seems necessary, and if the BU is that group then its only right people should question and analyse it.

Well the board has failed then hasn't it?

As I've said why aren't you putting pressure on the board because their plan has failed!?!?

Why are you putting pressure on BU to have a plan when the Board hasn't got one.

Just answer the questions about our board please without mentioning BU

"BU appointing agents and professionals to sell the club"...

No offence but that sounds daft

It does to me as well tbh. The main purpose of the BU should be to inform the general match going evertonian about the boards continued failings and get the press involved.

It's amazing how many people simply do not believe things like Everton place having 3 different excuses and Elstone lying at the enquiry about Harris etc.

Funny how Elstone's remit appears to be to outsource every aspect of the running of the club, except for the search for investment.

It's a shame that neither Kit Bag or whoever buys the hotdogs are specialists in brokering share sales.

Still, better the devil you know. We don't want some evil foreigner coming in and doing things like failing to provide transfer funds for three years.
