Well, something like that, on a grander scale - not aimed at anyone in particular. I think. Maybe. Some of us will be better at typing properly than others.

Of course you are correct with your assessment of what the Old Yorkshireman said but I would prefer to think that what he meant was that anything can be sold provided the price is right rather than bestowing the virtues of decayed organic material as a fertiliser for growing plants.
