I can't download the file, but it looks like payment last month, so we would have loaned this last year.

Could be wrong like. Guardian a few years back actually said we had loans against TV money two years ahead.

The charge over the 2015/16 revenues relates to the loan taken out between September 2014 and the end of the season. It is repayable from the next season's broadcasting revenues, hence the 2015/16 date. Sometime during the close season broadcasting revenues are released to the clubs. In the case of Everton they are released to Vibrac who firstly recover their debt before handing funds onto Everton. Last year the loan of £20,924,000 was repaid in August, and the new loan started in September (as per the document you mentioned and quoted).

Subject to transfer activities we may not need to take another loan this year. If we were to do so it would be secured against 2016/17 broadcasting revenues received by Everton next summer.

I am not sure to be honest. It looks like there is a basic payment (they call it award) and then further payments at the end of the season which will relate to final position, appearances etc.

We need loans, this particular method, because of guarantees made by certain 'guarantors' in the past. It 'guarantees' interest to the 'guarantors' to be guaranteed.

The interest is a facilitating payment for the guarantors to be guaranteed the payment for guaranteeing the guarantees some time back.

It's called pawn. Actually and phonetically.
