Caught between a rock and a hard place. I desperately want Everton to move on and have investment we've sorely been lacking but the more you read about this bidder the more he just doesn't seem what we need. More like clear as day carpet baggers.

Not that I've got any right to know as I hold no shares in Everton, but still. Wasn't there meant to be more than one interested party at the table?
I feel as though a hard nosed business man is what this club needs to progress though. Someone with the business sense and connections to improve our commercial and marketing deals, refinance the club and invest in the infrastructure by means of a new stadium or redeveloped Goodison. That's what has been holding us back off the field.
Now the guy seems to have been successful in these areas while also bringing success to the team he ran so wouldn't be the end of the world IMO.
Whoever we bring in will have associated risks and potential positives to their ownership.

Interesting read on this moores fella

Basically he sounds exactly like an american Mike Ashley, pocketing money whilst not investing in the team. Trying to oversell the club and although the value did increase, success never came.
Luckily we have a chairman and a board that will only sell to people who have the best interest of the club at heart even waiting 10 years to find a suitable buyer.Otherwise they would just sell to the first bunch of cowboys prepared to stump up the money.

Happy Christmas Bill we should build you a statue

I can't say I've ever heard of anyone buying a half season ticket over a rumour.

Do you think people bought them last year off the Yarmolenko rumour?

Why would you buy one over a takeover rumour? It's not like your season ticket would be for a new stadium.

Serious questions these by the way, do you know anyone who has bought one cos of something the club have made up?

I don't know of anyone personally, but I'm absolutely sure that there is an increase in ticket sales, half-season ticket sales and merchandise sales. You may not think so, but the rumours of a much-wanted takeover injects positivity into the minds of many fans.

BK wont be selling to a money grapping cowboy. If this one is it though...Im absolutely sure our terms will be very tight...rightly so. We have a tradition to protect

Sky Sports News now reporting takeover 'rumour' with Bill Kenwright staying on in an 'honorary role'. No confirmation from Everton.

People might not like this, but it would be no bad thing. All of the criticism of Kenwright really come from his abilities outside of football. Having a leaner, more efficient and effective American backing, alongside the football intuition of Kenwright would be a very good combination.

I look at what Liverpool are doing and a lot of it makes sense. The problem is they lack football people at the top which will be their downfall. Having a chairman in place who understands the needs to give managers time, support and control would be a big benefit for us.

The ideal will always be the second Abramovic comes on. It's unlikely. Whats a shame is the existing board members who Kenwright fronts for have lost (or never really had) much interest.

If marketed properly Everton could be massive.

i just don't think they can be as bad as what we've got.. we're stagnating right now, and some of the deals we've made have been awful, i.e kitbag etc..

If these guys have a plan, get everton making a good profit, whilst investing into the playing squad, training facilities, stadium etc, then all is good for me.
