In which case:
1) How has Bill repaid that debt/has he ?
2) Why would a wealthy individual like Earl need Green to buy his shares for him ?

I obviously cannot answer for either but either Bill still has an outstanding debt of £8.1 million plus any interest or he's paid it out of his earnings from other commercial activities. I haven't gone through his production company accounts but it's a fair guess that he could have earned sufficient to do so.

Re Earl, again I am guessing but commonly cashflow and liquidity is an issue for seemingly wealthy individuals.

However given the value of each of their holdings any debt if outstanding is fairly inconsequential and of no consequence to Everton.

Production company prepares group accounts and in the period from 1 January 2006 to 31 December 2014 declared and paid dividends of 16,020,000 - This is split 7,760,000 the shares in EFC and 8,260,000 cash or equivalent.

Couldn't be bothered noting his salary, but about 410k per annum. so say 3,690,000 over the same period.

Make of it what you will guys.

Any outstanding debt being inconsequential would surely depend on the repayment terms/penalties etc ? Kenwright's not PL football club wealthy and if Earl can be troubled by cash flow he certainly can. Kewnright answering to a debt holder that takes an unusual interest in the club's concerns might be troublesome.

Still wondering why the initial purchase of shares from Gregg would be made by Green and then transferred to BCR though (and why did Gregg feel it necessary to identify the actual purchaser)

For the sharp-eyed amongst you, there is a mismatch between the dividend in respect of the shares distributed in specie and the ultimate cost in 1878 Ltd.
It's quite simple, when distributed they were worth less than when they were acquired, this is shown in BK Ltd group accounts, and the dividend is shown pre loss.
They then go into 1878 Ltd at the new lower cost. Purely coincidence that a few years later the acquisition costing 300k brings the figure back to within a gnats of the in specie dividend figure.
Hope that makes sense.

Oh and finally, any loan for the shares had the square root of zilch to do with BK'scompanies. If money were borrowed (cast iron evidence of which is not in the public domain), it was a private arrangement. No big loans in the companies.

Yea, I noticed that last time I looked at the numbers and will admit to scratching my head a bit. Cheers for clearing that up mate.

You actually read my ramblings still - feelings of shock and awe here.
Or is it just your sleeping pill substitute?
Or pure unadulterated sarcasm?

Mostly sarcasm, but I am a sad soul and downloaded all the accounts a couple of years ago and did an analysis similar to yours when I was looking at Bill's ability to repay any loan he might have taken out.

Took me chuffing ages too, but I got there eventually. I'll just ask you next time though !

Woolly is 24/7 mate, eat sleeps and drinks the inner workings of Everton. Before your regular postings he often used to bemoan the fact that no one does detail like he does.

At last he's met a kindred spirit.

I'm also keen on the naked female form but the two very rarely overlap

Soz for off-topic. Don't do as I do, do as I say.

Billy Hogan, Liverpool's chief commercial officer has been in Asia all week negotiating naming rights for their new main stand.

There's three interested parties and the deal is likely to be valued at £70-90 million for a 10 year deal.

Some contrast between them and us....

That right there is why we need change. Any change, not just a billionaire throwing crazy money at us. Anyone with any business acumen to make deals like such.

They are in totally different league with all that money compared to us. The inevitable change that id coming cant be so bad. Dem Yanks will defo kick us up a bit in business stuff

Did the club ever come clean on who is getting paid (250k - not sure if that was the accurate number) over the last 2 years?
