I'm confused, are they suggesting the club will have an official announcement at 9pm or that Blue Union/SOS are announcing something?

They'll be annoucing their plans for a march or something similar for the City game a week on Sunday, as it's the Super Sunday game and the cameras will be there.

Seems a bit poorly timed that article - if the idea is to get apathetic fans onside with the Blue Union and start attending meetings etc, then surely once the money is spent by the end of the window and there are shiny new players for people to look at then they will revert to their original apathy or become convinced that all is well.

If people really think that no money will be spent save a fraction of the proceeds of any potential sale of Stones, then surely it would be much more impactful to write this after the close of the window? If a boss playmaker materialises in the next couple of weeks then the vast majority will forget about this and the several reasonable questions it poses.
The problem is - we are probably losing out on new signings because we are perceived by everybody as having no ambition.

It's them by the sounds of that tweet.

They'll be trying to whip a mini frenzy up amongst their diminishing support about how the clubs taken another Vibrac loan out. There'll be outrage about how can this be given the TV money, accusations about the board, calls for Kenwright to go etc etc and they'll try and dress it up as an exclusive.

No doubt they'll moan about how we've got such a low outlay on transfers so far, forgetting that in the past the Vibrac loan has been the enabling vehicle that predates incoming transfers.

No matter how you wash it, Roberto and Moyes have been let down by a board who have not give then the backing they deserve or we as fans do.

Least they're doing something. Their efforts have already led to some increased exposure on talk sport and the mirror. Everyone happy waiting another 20 years of mid table finishes? Or are we all still waiting for that miracle manager, you know the one who smashes the top 4 on a negative net spend, thrashes Ciry and Chelsea regularly at their own grounds and competes in all competitions with a squad of kids and pensioners?

It's an SOS and BU announcement and it's likely to be plans for a protest for the City game.

Though I agree with what most of what they have to say, protests are just waste of time. I took part in the ones they did a few years ago but looking back I realise they didn't achieve anything and won't achieve anything now, so many supporters are just so fickle or not interested in the crap the board are doing. We'll sign Lennon and probably some unknown striker on deadline day and most supporters will suddenly forget about this for another season, it always happens.
