In some ways I feel sorry for Kenwright. I think everyone knows he does love the club. He is going to have to give up control eventually, whether through ill-health, his hand is forced etc. Whichever way it happens he will be bowing out with his reputation at a low. There are plenty of Evertonians who actively dislike him, and a significant proportion who think he has damaged the club, even more who think it has stagnated under his control. He must know this and as an Evertonian it can't fail to bother him. In order to keep his control he's got himself caught up with people who prioritise financial matters vs club success and he can't extricate himself from the situation.

At some point he must know the game will be up. If it was me I'd want to go out on a high, max out the credit cards (let's say even just 50/70m), buy some decent players and have a proper tilt at the Champions League. He can't do this cos he's saddled himself with some chumps who won't alter their asking price to accommodate the new debt, which wouldn't be a huge portion of the buying price.

Agreed.

I want a chairman that is just like Bill with Everton in his heart but with a bigger bank account. Maybe Bill will gain a billionaires inheritance and all our problems will be solved .

I like our chairman , he has changed the club for the better but i fear he has taken us as far as he can go now , done a fantastic job on getting our club financially stable and help our managers build a very good ( but small ) squad , but we need serious investment and a new stadium to take us in to the next generation!

Listening to that Talk sport show, the general impression is fans want change asap. However the blatant message from the other presenter ( not Stan) was that from a business angle noone would sell Everton in the short term due to simply maximising profit from purchase to sale of shares. This literally is sickening. Stan Collymore was right in his livid outburst that Everton fans deserve better than selfish businessmen who are waiting for increased Tv revenues from abroad rights to manifest in a massive increase in company value.

That's not what Bill committed to when he took over. Robert Earl seems like a mercenary as do others involved. Unfortunately Bill Kenwright who is indeed a true Evertonian seems to be holding on to his train set and I'm sad to say his popularity is dwindling even amongst those who see him as a good figurehead for the club.

All I know is change is needed. We can't compete we can't carry on we need change and some forward thinking from people with know how. I've never been so worried as an Everton fan as I am.
