Yeah, I was surprised Clarke didn't know whether for sure that the PL had the same powers as the FL on the issue of disclosure (though the meat of it was that he did say that he thought for sure the PL can compel PL clubs to clarify who their beneficial owners are).

In terms of Everton specifically: Clarke has - from that follow up question concerning Green and Everton/BCR (and his answer to it: 'I'm quite happy to have the debate with them') - given Matheson the green light to pursue this via an approach to the FA.

All of that ^^^ would have been great a year ago when we were still without a sale; I'm not sure what pursuing it now would achieve other than put a few existing directors on the spot...which they'll easily wriggle out of anyway. I doubt it'll settle any scores.

That's why I say the value of today's Q&A was that it hammers home to fans that they do have the right to pursue their suspicions if they choose to do so in number...as they did at Leeds to break the deadlock there.

Pure speculation of course, but the timing of the 'sale' to Moshiri, just as the wagons were rounding up around Green, always struck me as erm, coincidental....Green knew he was to be facing a lot of investigation and proceeded to 'tidy up his affairs'... allegedly ;)

I'm still not convinced on Moshiri, tbh.

Actions speak louder than words.

I believe NOTHING from that club.

Lying and lack of honesty and transparency is one thing I have no respect for (that's why I think Elstone should go after lying on this issue. Bill should probably get out too).

I like Moshiri for what he is doing for the team and for the stadium but I wish he'd make this club transparent and clean which it doesn't seem to have been in it's murky financial dealings.

All credit to the mp for outing this

You don't really believe they are going anywhere based on this do you?

This is my only fault with him so far. The communication aspect has been poor. What is/isn't communicated, and whom he chooses to communicate on his behalf.

Completey wrong, and if all of my posts are available I'll take them along to my solicitor and see what he says. You are completely out of order and are using a news report of something said in parliament as a stick to (attempt) to beat individuals including me. You are nothing but a failed bully. Stop it now before this gets too far as it did on Kipper...when the poster Swerve(not you is it...or is it?) accused me of being a pornographer based on a complete untruth. This is a good forum, please do not ruin it with your vindictiveness based on nothing at all. Sorry about this mods....I reported orly a few weeks ago...theres a pattern emerging and its nothing to do with Everton.
lol

Glory days,
They'll pass you by.

Could this affect how Moshiri came to get his majority stake? Bill the Quilt could be feeling more heat since that Liver Birds episode turned up on YouTube.

Would love it if it came out in years to come that moshiri leaked info to the mp to expedite the removal of certain board members

Glad I'm not the only one thinking this but I'm a conspiracy theorist on most things. My first reaction yesterday was that Moshiri gains more control over the future direction of the club by having the reputation of two others left in tatters. If BK and RE left the Board, then their replacements would give Moshiri majority support on the Board and a free hand to push for any decisions he wanted making. In RE's case, he would also be losing his CEO job.

Based on pure speculation, I'd venture a personal opinion that Mosh himself is mainly Usmanov's proxy, and I'm not sure quite how deep we'd want to venture down this 'proxy director' rabbit hole.

The sooner Boys Pen Bill and cronies clear out, the better

Great opportunity now for Farhad to sweep away all the remnants of the last shady regime. New Chairman and CEO asap. please!

From the front page:

I agree mate but I highly doubt any of this will happen. We have gone 15+ years of decit and lies it's not going to stop especially when certain individuals have made progress at the club through the time.

I am looking at Robert Elstone mainly, unless some tangible evidence was made available they will just ignore it, they have been doing this for as long as I have cared it won't change now.
