Yeah I agree with you on this one. I do think bill means well even if he can't back it up sometimes.

Bill strikes me as the kind of person who thinks he can keep on putting a lick of paint over a plastered wall where the plaster's blowing and will only replaster the wall when he really has to.

I'd say we're not far off having to pay someone to hack off the plaster, slap a basecoat on and then skim it so we've got something to work with which is marketable.

The alternative is to wait for the plaster to fall off and then patch it in the hope that someone wants to buy a doer upper.

My brother in law is a decorator and could do mates rates if that's any use?

I think we need a reliable builder mate, but I appreciate the offer.

Hahaha I like that comparison an I totally agree with you as well.

People keep saying 'Stoke have outspent us' but i think their net sale is about £2 million. Net sale of a few others in the Prem is less than our £5 million +.
To be honest Steve its not a net spend that bothers me,60k on Coleman compared to the amount spent on Shaw for example,I know who id rather have, its just the whole, sit back and do nothing attitude that seems to ooze out of the board room

@Bluesnapper - my point was simple, the value of the dispoed of fixed assets was circa £10m. You're trying to make out that it's a critical factor in our current predicament, when the current reality is that £10m is about 1/4 of the current market value of one our young stars. It's no longer a stat that holds any real relevance, irrespective of your view of whether it was the right call at the time or not.

You refused to make the point.

What gets me is the simple fact that....

if you admit you haven't got the cash to really move the club on and compete and so you're trying to sell the club 24/7 - it's patently a lie if 10+ years on it still hasn't been sold despite an absolutely golden era of growth and global PR for the Premier League.

Bill is a Liar plain and simple.
