If indeed.

I don't trust anything I hear off twitter. And the whole Moyes/Villa fiasco should be all the provenance you need to explain why that is.

That's why I put 'if'.

I tend to stay out of this thread as I'm not close enough to the situation to have an educated opinion.

In this instance I was just passing on what I read.

Finally. Someone give this man a medal ffs.

Hardly anyone here knows enough to have an educated opinion on the matter, but no one will admit it.

I will though. And that's why I'm on the fence. When so much of the weight behind these arguments is founded on conjecture, speculation and hard to prove 'facts' it creates a big haze of bullsh*t. And I can't see through it, to be frank.

Commercial performance (per annum) 2005<----------->2011

2005

  • Sponsorship, Advertising
  • Merchandising, Catering
  • Other Commercial Activities
£13.6

2011

  • Sponsorship, Advertising, Merchandising
  • Catering
  • Other Commercial Activities
£9.6M

If we put back in the retail turnover figure Elstone points out is omitted from revenue calculations because they now just record retail profit ("net amounts received from the sub-contractors" - the cut they get from actual sales with Kitbag), that'd be the £3M lump sum they receive p.a. off Kitbag that's left off the balance sheet (and also, because it applies to catering, another, say £2M lump sum they get off Sodexo), then that leaves us barely a million quid up on the overall commercial revenue the club were pulling in when Elstone 'joined six years ago'.

Good going Bob.

If that increase is true, one could argue we've actually stagnated because the overall growth in the Premier League should mean we're earning far more than we were six years ago anyway.

It certainly isn't impressive, that's for sure.

Elstone was banking on bundling up total figures for sponsorship for a decade 'going forward' and hoping Everton supporters are too thick to break down his statements on what's left in/out of accounts. He's a patronising tvvat.

Kenwright or kenwrong......

So Suntan Bob thinks it's the Minority that want change at our club. So were do you sit......

Just vote................

I want change as much as the next blue, but it's not as clear cut as "sack the board". The biggest issue we have with Kenwright is around investment, other than that is the club being run that poorly? Moyes, although frustrated, knows where he stands and appears to have a good relationship with the board. What we want/need is transparency, evidence/details of interested parties that have come in and have been shown the door.

In short - further choices on the poll required,

I agree with what your saying. But this is just about what you want. Not about all the in between, that gets discussed in every other thread. Just wanted to see if we are the Minority.

It is clear cut though, and this poll does not include "sack the board" - just the option of wanting them gone.

For me, the issue is how poorly this club has been run. The board's track record is ****ing ****e.

So were in the Minority hey Elstone. Just shows you havn't got a clue about what we want or how we feel.

Will be interesting to see the final result.
