Tbh, I don't really agree with all that. But look, it's a plan, an idea, a way forward. Something this board have no clue or intention of doing. If they came out and said the have a plan to move us forward a vision for the club. Even if I didn't agree I wouldn't be so anti-board.

What there doing now is a massacre of the club. The vicious circul of the manager and the board is nothing short of a disgrace. And should be stoped right now.

I'm in the same boat TBH. That wouldn't be my first choice.

There's others out there with ideas and the desire to make them happen who are better placed than me to talk about moving the club forward. I'm just desperate to see us do something positive.

In my eyes Wenger has built the Emirates with his player trading putting Arsenal in credit over his time while others have spent £100's of millions to remain in a similar position. I believe Moyes has almost as good an eye for a player and could do the same for us. The big difference is the Arsenal board pisses all over ours.

I think the way forward would be to gamble on getting champions league . We would probably need 25 million to do this by getting 3 good players for 20 mill and use the other 5 mill for getting depth in the squad with maybe a player a few frees and loans . We would have to keep our existing players . Then if we could to a respectable position in group stages of champions league then your looking at 20 mill prize money plus league position and extra tv money from champions league . If you do that for a couple off seasons then you would make a bit of profit and attract interest for investment. Off course it's a big gamble and could become a complete diasaster and we would have the problem of finding the 25 mill to start with

It's just all such a big mess. If Kenwrong had given up Everton to Gregg, we'd have a stadium at the kings dock the envy of every club around the world....

But, he's an "Evertonian" so he's ok by us...

Dont mention that! Makes me feel physically ill, especially when i drive past where it would have been.
The stadium on the Kings Dock would have been a guaranteed money maker. Could most likely pay for itself, could hold concerts and all sorts. Probably with it also we would have been bought instead of City. Absolutely criminal that we never got that stadium. But he's a blue, so hes sound.

We can't borrow a bean for players mate. We only buy players when we sell others. We'll be in this boat until one of our owners makes some positive changes off the pitch that see's us make more money.

and we all know thats not gonna happen.

I think there's still LOTS to be done on the commercial side of things.

Biggest missed opportunity for years was not hammering the USA with the connections we have. We didnt even make a boat load from Oz with Cahill.

Add that the marketting, catering, sponsorship...we've tied ourselves into a net there's no room to breathe.

In the short term not a great deal TBH. In the long run;

What i think it would do is completely change the image of the club from skint Everton living on rapidly fading glory to one that's viewed as a forward moving, modern club. Over time the amount we make from sponsorships and what we get out of those relationships would change. Villa got £5m p.a for their kit deal and clubs like Fulham earn more from shirt sponsorship. I don't view either club as more glamourous and neither gets more exposure than us.

I believe it would also change the attitude of our fans and bring a good number back on board as I believe a growing amount are disillusioned with the lack of discernable progress made on or off the pitch. Attendances were down by about 3,500 last season, despite the season following almost an exact same path as the last four or five. Perhaps some of that is down to a recession but I believe it's fans losing patience with the way the club is run.

It also gives room to grow and open new area's to make money. Things like a proper museum(Everton Collection), Weddings, Greater hospitality, Hotels(I wouldn't personally), a health club and on site bars and restaurants all give the opportunity to make money non matchday and increase what we take matchdays.

I believe losing the amount of restricted views would see us go closer to capacity each week too.

If we sucessfully changed the image of the club and managed to get back to a similar level we are at now I would guess that would be worth £12-15m a season for us.

Not for me mate - purely because i dont think its viable currently.

That is what gets me, just no real plan or even sense of direction. As far as I can tell any intention they have is to fend off the banks as much as possible, oh and look for a buyer/investment 24/7. The latter which has become a joke we all know that.

I just don't understand the logic about the current situation, these part owners of the club who have money but don't want to put another penny in, which purely from a business view fair enough, its their money at the end of the day. But surely they'd be encouraging the search for a buyer as well? Instead of just letting Bill take care of it.

Its an asset which as result of the debt the club continues to take is losing value every year and in an economy where getting liquid capital is quite difficult, surely they'd make an effort to get their money and leave.

Also if price is a sticking point, wouldn't it make business sense for them just to lower it, I mean it loses money every year like I said. Their asset gets less valuable every year they don't sell it, no changing that.

If what I'm saying is stupid, then well I inform you all I really don't know what I'm talking about at all actually. Go banana.

Kenwright Lies

Not meaning to start a thread where theres continued arguments bout the [Poor language removed] in charge, but has anyone go ta link to all the quotes of him lying etc? Dad doesn't 'buy it' , he claims to be on the fence.

Sold £50 million of assets in the last 18 months, spent £12 million on players.

I'm guess ing our debt has reduced by NILL !
