I know who Green is ta, I was asking where you'd heard previously that our asking price was £3-400M?

Sounds like he was touting for a buyer for Rangers to me, trying to intimate that they were far better value than a PL club at 10x times their price.

I was clearing up who he was for the other post, sorry.

Green doesn't want to sell up, says hes staying till he gets them champions league. He was more talking about how drastic the valuations can be. Wasnt a dig, and more of a series of examples in relation to debt etc.

He says hes got valuations on the property etc valuing rangers at 80million rather than 32million its been rumoured to be valued

Oh right, probably a figment of someone's imagination then, rather than some actual factual information.

There's no way on Gods earth we could be on the market at that sort of figure.

Who is gonna buy us for that much when, theoretically, the new ground any owner would probably have to fund for us would cost even more on top of it? They'd be looking at about an £800-900m output!

Which is what the Glazers bought Man U for, to put it into perspective. Chelsea only cost Roman 140 million and they were a Champions league team with a top of the range stadium in london.

It's a nonsense figure, don't believe it at all.

It just can't be right. It just can't.

I dislike Kenwright as much as the next self-respecting Blue and I think he does over value the club and is looking for a massive return on it rather than this "Blue Bill" crap, but not THAT massive.

If he had ever requested that much it would have been leaked a long time ago.

A guy who has no affilliation with Everton has said there are rumours that Everton are going for 300 - 400 mil..
1. If there were even rumours of this figure before, all forums would of had threads on it... check now all forums.. they now have threads becaus of this guy, which suggests to me this is the first time this rumour has ever been muttered.
2. What the fk would he know about Everton's sale price?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was common knowledge within the 'footballing executive world' about people knowing how much the board want for it; rumours do go around the business world.

I for the life of me can't see anyone valuing the club at that much, with our turnover and operating costs it would be ridiculous for the board to even consider that valuation, it doesn't make sense. If it is true, then here lies the answer as to why we haven't been sold, and never will be
