To be fair to Bill it cant have been easy to find Moyes that 600k a season he's had when the price of Lawnmowers has sky rocketed.

"We're in talks with an investor thats out of this world. They've got resources like nothing the worlds seen. They will literally take this club to another planet from a footballing perspective" Bill Kenwright 21/11/2012.

Does this mean if we fall to mid table in JAN , & any top players are sold will the Blue Union rise from the ashes agai, as nothing really has changed financially from the club we have to sell to buy e.g. Rodwell to City, Cahill off the high wages etc, Is it too much to ask for an AGM for everyshare holder of EFC or is it the closed shop some fans suspect????

Cahill left because he was no longer the force he was, and didn't merit the outlay on wages. Rodwell was not and in my opinion never would be a regular or influential first choice at Everton , and was missing through injury a lot. Any club would deem it good business to sell or get rid of those players. Buying and selling players is what football clubs do....most of them do it to survive financially. Thats the real world.

Most premiership clubs buy and sell on a net spend basis though Steve. That's the real reality, really.

Moyes consistently says that Everton give him 'everything he asks for' or 'what they can manage'. We do not have a large benefactor who is prepared to lose money for the sake of his hobby or his ego, and our marketing potential is currently limited by circumstances. The current value of the Everton squad is considerably probably more than many Premier League squads and this has been down to shrewd buying by Moyes backed by the board. The myth of 'net transfer dealings' is simply that, a myth. We pay wages in line with our league position, approximately, and our top players are on good money. Without the sale of Rodwell, and Cahills removal from the wage bill, and other player outgoings, we would not have Jelavic and Peinnar would not be back. Nor would we be able to continue paying the likes of Heitinger and Fellani 60-70 grand a week. That is the reality. If you want marquee signings in every window, and £25 million or more to be spent on one player, what you want is someone with loads of cash which they are prepared to lose, or at least loan to the club, although that can be dangerous. A new board might bring with it some investment in the infrastructure(urgent!!) and some investment in the squad, but it would need a massive investment of sheik or russian type money to put us up with Man City and Chelsea etc. A new board/ownership or whatever would not be a bad thing, but to a large extent the problems that the current incumbents have would still be there.

I always find it a pleasure to read your posts mate.

For me we need change or a variety of well known & boring reasons but also I'm not sure if we have any form of joined up thinking in terms of a stratergy . I don't know if they have any real aims other than treading water and praying for a benefactor and that to me smacks of a family in the grips of poverty pining their hopes on the lotto.
