There's a number of points the board can be had up for - but "landing" a seemingly top young dutch powerhouse midfielder for nearer enough £10m but then taking issue with the medics isn't one of them.

Or maybe it was just one big illusion from Bill?!

Sound move by the board to look again at payments due for a player that shows up a dodgy medical. The board couldn't have known about it in advance so the idea thaat they can be criticised at this point is ridiculous. As for they should have done their business earlier - tell that to all the clubs that will deal like crazy in next 48 hours.

FFS mods. Someone is using common sense in the Board thread. MODDDSS

If he has shown up to be injured then we should not sign him.

Got to say though that our medical staff hardly emit confidence given the way they get current players back playing.

Shows how little faith people have in him and the board that we think that.

Thing is, it hasnt. Been an ever present for FC Twente ever since he returned from his injury. He is not injured, or injury prone. Just the staff feel his knee COULD pose a problem in the long term. Keyword COULD. And they rightfully want to protect themselves.

Which why I used 'if'.

I think the bigger concern is leaving that deal to the last minute, it falling through, and not having enough time to go after anyone else.

Will be interesting to see how a certain two foreign owners set about their work over the next two days. Randy Lerner was lionised by many Evertonians at the time of the Villa takeover. With them in freefall and the relegation zone will he splash the cash so obviously needed. At the other end of the scale (but not the league table), Fernandes at QPR seems as if he might be about to recklessly back the twitchy one in signing his old gang of Crouch, Krackjer etc......

Interesting as a blue I would thought you would be more interested in what our owner does in the next 48hrs !

Tick Tock

Tick Tock

I've always wondered about people who use "tick tock" in the manner above. Is it to show that you're a superior fan to the rest of us because you're taking an Internet stand against our somewhat useless Board? Are you counting down the minutes before you stage a one man sit in outside Bill's office? Perhaps some psychological trauma in the past has you thinking you are a clock?

Im no fan of the board but I cant see what they have done wrong regarding the dutch lad

They may be totally justified in what they are doing but Bills history always puts a big cloud of doubt over anything he does. Some people look at it suspiciously and insist we are penny pinching by trying to get better terms and others think we are right in what we are doing. It just shows the obvious mistrust the fans have with this board and who blames them?
