No mate, i still dont think he has bad intent - i think he wants out - i do think he wants to make a profit though, you would be of your wig not to. Honestly though i, he and we all know we need change to break the glass ceiling.

Its not entirely true mate about profit, just look at the current shareholders, i think we posted a profit once since they have been in the board yet we know they will make a profit. We're seeing the same thing with carpet bag investors in championship clubs at the mo - Leeds, Forest etc.

Point is the 125mill figure is a red hering its the price to buy the whole of Everton, to buy a controlling interest say half Woods and Bill shares would be half if not less then that again. The 125mill is a fallacy. I laughed at almost 50 page thread on the interview on here and the fury.

There's nothing surer than Kenwright and Woods and Earl finally walking away with a massive increase on the price of the shares they paid. Fair enough if your argument is that he and the others have a legitimate right to that profit (I suspect many wold agree with you). But it is - and always has been - a nonsense to view Bill as a guardian of Everton. It's just not supportable.

Dave - why can't Kenwright be genuinely after two goals? A safe custodian for the club AND a fair price?

He might be able to do that. But unearthing a safe custodian would just be a wonderful happenstance in the successful search for a new owner who arrives at the 'right price'. It wouldn't be a key factor in the search, Imo.

That's one we'll just have to wait and see on isn't it?

For me anybody who says the board wouldn't sell to just anybody is undermined by the "man in the bedsit" story. If somebody who had no money behind him could get to the level where the talks where advanced then surely it seems unlikely that they've got any rigorous checks in place to keep away 'the wrong sort '.

Murray at rangers spouted about not selling to just anybody until under pressure from the bank he dealt with the shyster that was craig Whyte and those selling liverpool prattled on about DEC being the only horse in the race until the yanks upped their offer .

Sadly it seems money is the only thing that matters to most involved

slightly off topic here but I didn't start following Everton until 2002-2003 and, being in the states, didn't get much info about them.

was there ever any uproar about the kings dock fiasco after it failed? or did most just say 'ah well he tried'? I didn't have any access to these things..

Eh why did you post it on a public forum, if you didn't want people to comment? That kind of response isn't very helpfull is it? in terms of inclusiveness, winning people to the banner or reassuring people that my points aren't in any way valid, or that whats posted above by KEIOC has any credence bar scaring people with rhetoric - tell me, had KEIOC even reasoned my points - didnt think so. You have to laugh: "stop making factual points we dont agree with or we haven't thought of". So if anyone has a comment to make on what they have so far published on a public forum your saying there not allowed analyse and critique it? - brilliant, well done lads.

Just want to point out that im all for a change at the helm, but really the quality of analysis, scare tactics of rhetoric and misleading nature of their articles really should be pointed out.

Their welcome to rebuttal me - ill be here, but i have a sneaky feeling that the above was published on here so they can trouble shoot the pre published "unbiased report" from the opinions of regular fans - sad really.

I.m not a member of KEIOC nor have I seen their YET to be published report.

I look forward to your Fin study and can you plublish that beyond GOT so we get inclusive views beyond this forum.

Indeed.

If he wants to make a profit that's all well and good, but he shouldn't go around spouting this utter bullshine about there being no bigger an Evertonian than Bill Kenwright. It's clearly not true.

Does he deserve a profit??

It's not really a matter of him deserving it, most businessmen will look to make a profit when selling something. That's why, as i said, he can't tout this line about him being a massive blue. He's putting his own interests ahead of the welfare of the club, and has done for 13 years.

That sums up my belief mate . I've no problem with the bloke wanting a profit it'd be unnatural to expect anything different but it's the way its presented like it seems to be the last thing he wants .

I've said it before for 20 yrs I could have had comp tickets every week and despite that I bought my season ticket , I just felt it was the right thing to do. That doesn't make me a super fan but I have put my feelings for the club before money . I'm not expecting bill to not want a penny profit but for me the club and its future should be his priority and he can still get himself a big fat cheque into the bargain.

Let's pretend it's a car and he's the owner of the dealership.

He hasn't maintained the car. It looks very tatty from the outside. Needs new tyres. No spare either.Runs ok most of the time but you can expect it to cock up at important times.
He's had it for years and its still on finance.

Is he still deserving of a profit?

Again mate, it's not really an issue of whether he 'deserves' a profit. All businessmen will want a profit. If you owned a business that had been shoddily run from an external point of view you'd still want a profit when selling it on.

I think that's harsh Sheeds. As soon as it was found to be a joke we pulled out. Mistakes can happen and since then its been a lot stricter.
