Thats what fans said about "no mark" Man City. Then they came for Lescott and we laughed calling them a smaller midtable outfit. Fast forward 3-4 years and they were miles ahead!


Yes nothing is guaranteed but its very concerning news it isnt just some normal takeover these guys poetentially are game changing for them.

Hyperbole again, it took City 2, count it 2, takeovers and a lot of guff spending (Santa Cruz, Jo, Benjamin etc) for them to get to a level of fighting for titles, we were still with them the season before they won the league

They came upfront the championship and beat us in their first season, that’s not being pegged back that’s being laughed at from a great height. It’s no surprise though, they were 2/1 to finish top 10 before they even started pre-season. We will be fighting with them and Leicester amongst others next season, Newcastle May take a year or two to get top 7/8. There are no excuses in this league, we can moan about having good and bad spells but every team around us is the same.

It was one season, if it started happening for the next 2-3 I'd start worrying, Everton have been in a mess the last couple of years and It's not surprising a team like Wolves finished above us recently, They bought well and have a good solid team who fight for each other.
I'm not worried about them at all, Hopefully Silva and co can kick on and start something at Everton.

Thou mockest MG, but unless our board pull their collective heads from up their collective rear ends, we'll never achieve anything like their recent level of success on the field.

Because we didn't replace Moyes properly imo, we started spiralling off a cliff half way through Martinez's second year and kept spinning.

The Board has a plan, its not a short term 1, lets see how it pans out. The current set up is still a work in progress. It was only when City got Tixi in that they grew to the beast they are now.

Having genuine and deeply held concerns about the manner in which our club is run, and the apparent lack of direction and leadership are 'silly reasons' ??

Which is where calmer heads should have prevailed, and not gone for easy options when there were better options available had they looked. Hopefully now things can settle down
