Let’s have it right. Sharp was appointed for the wrong reasons. It’s like Tom Davies being offered a new contract. It was a wrong appointment in a typically Everton fashion. I have no doubt he will have some dough in the bank and he is thought of highly at Everton and still with the fans, but you can’t just put someone on a board for that reason. We might aswell of threw Rooney on the board.

To me, Sharp did nothing wrong in his appointment however it was the wrong appointment to begin with. He is still welcome at Goodison and the new stadium and for all his work with Everton something should be named after him at the new ground.

You can't blame Sharpy for taking the pay packet.

You can absolutely blame him for being a Kenwright sycophant and essentially enabling Kenwright to weaponize his reputation against the fans. You can also blame him for not having any actual impact or the backbone to walk away from it when the board started peddling lies to attack the support.

He's not blameless.

Great news for Everton that is.
I wonder if Everton or MSP have offered something to Purslow? With Chris Heck joining V Sport Purslow may have felt a little shafted and may have looked around for something new. I think Purslow was brilliant for Villa and is a loss, he would be an excellent appointment for Everton imo and his part in writing the FFP rules would surely be of benefit

Kenwright acting like a jibbed bird. Tears, screaming and a trashed board room. One minute it's "you can't do this to me. I am Everton". The next it's "we can work this out. Please don't let me go. We've had good times".

The delay in BK leaving may be technical. The board probably needs to have a chairman at all times and possibly the new chairman needs to join the board before the old one retires.
I see that the club is saying there will be a statement regarding BK within 48 hours, I think we may see appointees before then.

It must also surely mean the MSP deal is concluded.

I’m thinking along the same lines as you. The memorandum and articles of association must stipulate at least 1 board member at all times or something like that.
