the entire release is poorly phrased and out of touch with reality. i especially like this part: "A statement from the departing Directors reads: “We have all been fully committed during our time here and are disappointed to have made the decision to leave Everton."

Be disppointed about how you failed the club or disappointed it came to this, not disappointed to leave or have made the decision to leave. That's nigh the only good decision the board have made recently.

… and are disappointed to be leaving the gravy train. Money for old rope with zero accountability or repercussions regardless of performance. The easiest and best paid roles these chancers will ever see in their life, that’s why they are “disappointed”.

Still no acceptance of responsibility for the absolute shizzle show the club has been, under their watch, for years. Fire them all in to the sun
