The Everton Board Thread

We are going through a process of change, expect issues along the way.

I expect lots of ups and downs, but I don't care for negligence. There's no excuse for the position we are in right now, and people need to be held to account.

The board need to provide 2 good attackers or we will get relegated. There are not 3 rubbish teams this season.

I can feel your fear, Tim, but the clubs/clubs do business right up to the close of the window. We won't be getting relegated, mate, neither will joint bottom Man U or West Ham.

If we have 1 point from 5 games then that will be a gamble that has not paid off.

I expect a relegation fight and I think it's unrealistic to expect better with our squad. No one can honestly say we definitely won't go down. If we don't strengthen significantly, then it's extremely possible.

As I say, Tim, I can feel your fear and you are clearly paasionate about the club and transfers but for me I expect we will be top 10 easily, with a bit of luck pushing for Europe with Frank bringing the fans along with him.

…Man Utd & West Ham didn’t escape by the skin of their teeth last season. It’s a nonsense to compare our situation with theirs, just like it’s daft saying we’re only a point behind the Reds.

I don't think top half is remotely realistic with this front line. I think that sort of expectation is pretty unhelpful if anything.

We were lucky to survive last year on under 40 points. We have no margin for error but are gambling by leaving important business to very late in the window after 15 points will have been up for grabs.

We would you expect a side who struggled to 16th, then lost their best player with no replacement, could then jump up into the top half? Like what's that based on?

Yeah this isn’t going to happen. Delusional.
In your opinion, which you are welcome too.

Again though, I'd say it is OK to for you to be scared but don't let it control your every thought. The board finally have a plan, lets see it delivered. The owner said to judge him after the window. Up to Dom's injury and the Gordon situation the majority seemed happy with the transfers sanctioned by the board. We will be OK.

Man U and West Ham didn't have Chorizo Chops sucking the life out of them last year. It would be folly to ignore the catastrophically negative impact that the fat Spanish ego had in every corner of our dear old club.

I think Frank Lampard only got three more points than Benitez and that was with every fan backing him with the most sustained vocal support before and during every game I have seen at Everton games for a long time, Benitez never got anything like that backing, he wasn’t wanted which I understood but he got little support from the day he signed on and even less support from the men who hired him, Usmanov and Moshiri.

Lets hope Lampard and Thelwell get a lot more support from Moshiri and less interference from the one man boardroom and maybe we will get into the top half of the table instead of another worrying season like the last one.

But people have been held too account, Brands has gone and Moshiri has taken a back seat, the people who caused THIS mess have been called out.
Now it's up to Thelwell, Frank and support from the board to sort it, but we need stabity, it's vital they all work together.
The situation is too dangerous for major behind the scenes changes.
