Two polar opposites of situations! Much as I’d snatch Chelsea’s hand off for £50m+, Gordon is under contract, playing every week and (apparently) not for sale, but I suspect will be gone this week!
Maupay wanted to leave, less than twelve months remaining on his contract, and has been sidelined!
One is a much easier deal than the other!

Maupay could well have gone to Fulham last week assume he was on a list other targets for whatever reason didn't happen so down to maupay if he had been top of the list we could have signed him five or six weeks ago

Yeah but you have to remember it's not just about us, it's about 2 individual clubs and a player, that's 3 separate entities who all have to be in agreement.
We also have to think long term, we've rushed into many deals, or rather Moshiri and Brands have, which have damaged us, due diligence on everything we do now is vital, it's a process we can't mess about on.

Andy Carroll hobbles around on crutches having signed a five year deal pronouncing I've still got alot to give - maybe not for 12 months though

This is a good window, for once we are actually thinking about what we are doing, Moshiri, who has been responsible for the last few years of mess, he is clearly been told to butt out and leave it to others who know what they are doing.
Frank, Bill and Kevin all clearly working together for the good of the club

No i dont think Moshiri is doing anything, he hs taken a total back seat, he has learnt his lesson not to interfer in things he dosent understand, as for Kenwright failing to deliver a new stadium, nice try but Bramley Moore is well underway
