The Everton Board Thread

"the relationship between the Board & fans has broken down beyond repair. Their position is untenable"

^ NSNOW - could anyone disagree with that?

I'll never forgive them for that statement - it was a point of no return with regards to my own view towards Everton's board.

There's no obligation for the board to attend and match. If they wished to explain why they didn't attend, do so after the game. Do so saying didnt want a distraction, or if you want to point the finger at fans, at least damage limitation and say it's a minority. The engineered that statement, and timed its publication for one agenda - to finger point at Everton fans, undermine Everton fans and cause maximum damage to Evertonians.

They went on the attack with their own fans - astonishing.

The most laid back Evertonians I know are livid with them, and rightly so.
Spot on mate, I've been a blue all my life and went to my first game in 1962. I have never been as disillusioned with the club as I am today.

The serial liar Kenwright has excelled himself with this one. Imagine the self appointed ' greatest living Evertonian' trying to hang out the fans to try to save his neck.

I hate Kenwright with a passion. His legacy, which he is so bothered about, is to have driven all of the nails into the coffin of Everton.

Oh well this isn't marvellous is it?

I mean, we all kinda knew it, but it's not amazing publicity. Will we be punished over it potentially? Genuinely don't know.
The best outcome would be a forced sale like what happened to Chelsea. But we won’t be that lucky.

We’ll be stuck with an owner who doesn’t have the knowledge and no longer has the wealth to run a football club.

I wouldn't say a forced sale is "luck" Chelsea were threatened with having their PL licence removed and possibly unable to pay their staff due to it being Romans dough.

Considering Moshiri was in talks with the Kenyon Group about investment its clear he's looking to sell at least a stake in the club.

Just a waiting game now.

I don’t see why he sells before the stadium is built, unless he concedes that he’s massively out of his depth without the backing of his mate and takes a loss.

Selling a stake in it, I can see him wanting, but I’m not sure who’d want to buy a stake in the club at the minute without being the majority shareholder.

Im sure the talk at the time was Moshiri valued the club at £1 billion which included the remaining cost of the stadium which he wanted help funding.

As for your bottom point - PSG's owners are looking at buying a minority stake in a PL club as UEFA rules mean they cant own a majority stake in both PSG + a 2nd club.

Tim Cahill, Qatar Airways naming rights, hopefully watch this space ?

What would have I done?

I would of released the information about the incident as soon as possible. Considering the reaction against Brighton it might of brought some positive unity in what is a cowardly act by some horrible arse hole.

I have a feeling it did happen , my problem is the timing of releasing it.
It’s not true

You're not mate.

I've been going to Goodison for 50 years come my birthday in March. I wont be going again until the current board are gone.

I've never felt so detached, so alienated from the club as I do currently. The whole DBB headlock lie has finished me. They've deliberately driven an immovable wedge between themselves and the fans. Theres no coming back from that. They've labelled every fan who goes the game as an uncontrollable thug.
You, me, him, her, those kids in the family enclosure, the old farts in the Top Balcony, the dars, the mars, every single one of us has been tarnished with their shitty brush and it absolutely 'kin stinks.

I'm done.
I will.probably never watch Everton at Goodison Park again.
That kills me but they're not my board, they dont represent me.

They can koff
Same here T
Not enjoyed going for a good while either. Top it off me lad said he doesn't want to go anymore , he's sick of it.

Same as you , over half a century been going to Goodison & love the place.
Now I'm sick to the pits of me stomach.

Am not arsed about the money side I can afford it , but due to work I have to take leave or grovel for swaps .
I wonder is it worth it anymore , this weeks episode with this board I think will make my mind up for me.

No matter how you feel about the manager / playing staff / the club and the direction we're heading ..... for the club to make the fan base the villians after the supporters helped drag that team over the line last year is disgusting. All clubs have a toxic element, but you'd be hard pressed to find a more dedicated, passionate and patient set of fans.

Rather than persue this BS ... perhaps the Club could make some / any moves to address the immediate danger and at least attempt to avoid relegation ?

You need to put down the comic books mate

Might be blessing in disguise if it burdens Moshiri with the debt as opposed to the club, not sure how loans he took out work though.

What keeps niggling at me, despite all of the obvious and recent, is that this strategy of theirs to throw the fans under the proverbial team bus, comes after our unconditional support that essentialy dragged the club over the line last year.
With that in mind, and that relegation this year is very much a higher probability as the last few games indicate, that they could think that doing that to this fanbase, and giving us a parting gift of having our last years at Goodison in a lower league, is criminal.

Everything that this stadium and traditional belived club has brought to top level football for so long, and these charlatans, can't accept they're at fault and do the honorable.

Instead work and collude to make us the enemy and to alter the spotlight on this movement of change to now be associated with threats and violence, is as big a smear as I recall on anything anywhere.

Disgusting. Dishonorable. Leeches.

They don't represent anything about this club or community. The fans deserve a medal for how measured, and patient and unvolatile they have been on mass considering the provocation and ineptitude of those paid by the club to represent its name.

Get. Out. NOW.
