The Everton Board Thread

Wer don't even need £90m now as well. Probably £30-40m would comfortably keep us up. Gets us two very good players or three pretty decent ones if we shop abroad.
I think we aren’t spending simply because we can’t, with regards to the financial rules.

I still don’t get how Chelsea were a mess when RA was sanctioned yet now are spending money like a kid in a sweet shop though

The penalties for breaking the rules are minuscule. Ban us from Europe if they want. Even a points ban for next season would be ok if it was worst case scenario.

Evert

I wonder if Bill is holding the local journalists in there with him? Haven’t heard a peep out of O’Keefe and the others for a bit.
I've no doubt they are being sat on.

I just hope those amongst us with the wherewithal are in the process of turning the screw on Bill and his cronies because the slug is as slippery as they come.

Ain’t no way they can survive this in my opinion. Not even Teflon Bill.

My question is, if you sack the board, what are the mechanics of that and replacing them? Genuine query.
Juventus entire board resigned in November but afaik the CEO was persuaded to stay on. They appointed a new company secretary.

I'd imagine a similar scenario would unfold if this happened with us. It's the holding company that's the legal owner of Moshiris equity so someone - anyone - acting for or on behalf of that entity would simply appoint a new board and CEO.

"Approval of the director appointment can be given by a simple majority (over 50%) of shareholders present in person or by proxy at the meeting, and entitled to vote"

Moshiri seems to be able to add board members at will. Just needs to jump through some admin hoops (informing companies house etc).

Firing members or forcing them to resign shouldn't be too difficult either, due to his majority shareholding. Especially given their poor performance, it should be another case of following the due process (a matter of weeks).

The mechanics are Moshiri has to employ new people, which is the reason why the board haven't been sacked, the owner, who doesn't even set foot in the UK

he could of had a clean sweep a few years ago, when he was interested, now that he has pretty much taken a back seat.... we're pretty much screwed

He could easily do it by proxy. He doesn't want to, though. The current board are his shield. They have no power and are happy to take their salary to let him run things with usmanov. They draw the wrath of the fans as well.

They were drawing wrath even before the last few weeks, now its off the scale, the clubs dead, they don’t even seem to be opperating, even the Twitter account has ceased trading.

I suppose it would be chaos for a while if that happened. Nothing new there then ?‍♂️

Sadly you know they will resist and fight tooth and nail convinced that’s it’s a minority of fans against them.

Waiting for these guys to resign on principle is waiting for the sun to rise I. The west
