The Everton Board Thread

1. Assuming the MSP deal is completed, it's likely to see them get one or two additional places on the board, not necessarily the immediate replacement of the current board.
2. the 25% investment will equate to approx £105million, which isn't enough to complete BM but, will help towards providing the financial stability to attract financing.
3. The value of any future percentage or complete selling of the remainder of Moshiri's shareholding and/or potential purchase price for any prospective buyer/s could be massively affected were we to be relegated.
4. We shouldn't get carried away if/when new owners finally replace Moshiri - the road back to the 'higher level' will be a long one because the absolute mess that Kenwright & Co and Moshiri have made of running Everton over the past 15 years and more has left us so far behind the 'big' clubs, it's gonna take a massive rebuild both on and off the field.

Fingers very much crossed.
In respect of point 4 I think most people could look forward with at least some degree of optimism and would be patient if 1) the board and ownership gradually changes in the short to medium term but just as important 2) there is actually a plan in place with those new people executing said plan.

what are the reasons kenwright isn't out now.
How can his leaving now affect any recapitalization?
Probably because the current credit facilities that the club are using (Rights and Media) were negotiated by a certain William Kenwright and maybe their continued support is dependent upon him remaining in situ ???

wow, is that a thing?
I'm not (intentionally) being difficult
But can you sell your controlling stake in a company and still retain that much control?

I reckon he's literally there because no one qualified wants that job on a short term basis.

A didnae smell any protest yesterday? But there surely was. Those flags won't have been cheap and the board is still a kin disgrace regardless of whether we pick up points.

Bill Kenwright will use anything and everything to pursue his own interests

He has done, for almost three decades

Anyone who thinks he has Everton Football Club's interests as a priority is making a big mistake

Fair play it seems appointing Dyche was at least one decent decision this lot have made
It really wasn't that difficult a decision, considering the position we are in and the turmoil at the club there wasn't a big queue of top managers wanting to take the job.
It seemed the decision was between Dyche and Bielsa. They didn't have the bottle to go down the Bielsa route so they went for the cheaper option.
I like Dyche and it is probably the right time to take him on but I can't help feeling that we have just kicked the can down the road but the priority is to make sure we are still in the Prem when we move into the new ground.

Yes for sure and I think had the board sacked Lampard prior to the world Cup break and given a new manager more time it would have been better. I was favouring Bielsa at the time. I'm just saying so far so good given the situation we face.

^^^ This all day long! Due to the turmoil at the club there was a remarkable absence of applicants - that's how badly the club is seen to be run by anybody with a modicum of common sense. Credit for the start made by Dyche after seizing the poisoned chalice, hopefully he doesn't drink from it until the poison is surgically removed!

you could well be right
but optics aside, there's a chance that a firm stance like this might help tip the whole thing over the edge and force Moshiri to act.
Serious question, not playing the devils advocate or plain conrarian...and do just what, how do you see his road map unfolding if he 'acts'
