The Everton Board Thread

Moshiri has to be forced out. I think it's clear we'll see no more spending beyond sell to buy from him even after the FFP situation improves.
Everton fans don't have the stamina or vision to do it, like I've said previously, if the owner of Liverpool, United, Newcastle, West Ham or one or two other clubs did to them what ours has done, they would be going wild.
But not us, even protests against the board on this level are many years too late when you think about it.

I still detect a Moshiri support base - or at least a lot of people who believe he's just got to get professionals in.

That's fantasy to me. HE has made all the disastrous decisions.

Johnson got pitchforked, so Everton supporters have a history of finally getting to the heart of the matter and who needs to go.

Yeah he definitely has, he even managed to.get away with blaming Everton fans on Jim White, it's bizzare.
He is the only Premier League owner I've even heard live give criticism of a clubs fan base.... and get away with it
No wonder he wants Kenwright to stay, he is the perfect shield for him, budgetless windows, ex Liverpool managers representing us, FFP restrictions, acting as a lone wolf calling up Jim White when he gets the urge rather then talk to the board, never coming to Goodison....etc its very strange.

I agree with Dave that more pressure has to be applied to the owner, however, BK is figurehead, the symbol of everything that we have grown to despise about Everton. Getting him and his acolytes out, rightly or wrongly, is the fan groups priority right now.

Sorry I don’t know what democracy has to do with a football club and it’s fans protesting about the board.

It’s a private business and as someone already pointed out outside of Everton we’re an afterthought.

The media will have bigger fish to fry but we Evertonians will keep pushing until Bill and his cronies leave.
Ok so undemocratic may be a little dramatic, but this is a group of people protesting about an issue they feel aggrieved with. I am not calling on national media outlets to report on it, but do expect sports media outlets to reports on it (especially local ones) fans do not get to vote on who the financial custodians are of their club, a protest is about as close as you get to a vote, and it should duly be given some airtime & column inches. Take the vacuum for example, sorry Echo - should they not report on it in their sports pages when the major sport they report on for the city is football and they cover two teams

It's not a support base as such. You can get rid of the board tomorrow and we could get replacements fairly easily I would imagine. If you get rid of the owner tomorrow then you MUST have someone who has a) a proper, workable plan for the club and b) the resources and wealth to execute that plan. It takes a bit longer to find that sort of person as they have to be the right fit. I don't think anyone actually thinks Kenwright should go and Moshiri should stay as such, they both have made a pigs ear of things in their own way and both need to go.

Yes, the time to get Moshiri out is not possible to pin down. But pressure has to be exerted in that direction. He has to be persuaded to give up his shares to serious bidders and that the unrest includes him so he better get real on price.

But there it seems to me that there's a lot of people who seemingly believe Moshiri has a future here and should be allowed to get investors in only in order to build this stadium and then have another go.

We cant afford to have that feller anywhere near Everton for much longer though.

It's clear he wants out but that won't be until the stadium is finished, that is why the current priority is to get changes on the board. He is being put under pressure to do that via the protests.

No-one is saying he should get another go after the mess he has made.

Do you really expect him to employ independent minded professional people?
