The Everton Board Thread

Not particularly impressed by the way the questions were worded, they were relatively easy for the club to navigate.

For example…’Is there any truth in the rumour that the club has been placed in special measures by the Premier League?’.

I would have worded it thus…..’Has the club been involved in discussions with the Premier League over transfers to stay within profit and sustainability rules, either now or at any time in the past?’

I just think the answers we were going to get were always going to be ‘wishy washy’ so the wording needed to be water tight.

“The Club’s CEO is a respected figure across sport”

Must be off the back of the sterling job she’s done in terms on increasing club turnover, expanding the brand and visibility, driving success on the pitch and delivering a coherent strategy during her leadersh…

Oh no, she’s done absolutely none of those things and would get LAUGHED out of an interview for a similar role at any other club in the top 2 divisions in this country.

Absolutely pathetic specimen.
Mate I nearly fell off my chair laughing at this:

"Denise has played a leading role in driving some of the Club’s most important projects, including restructuring the organisation, relocating the Club to its Royal Liver Building HQ and progressing the development of the Club’s new stadium during an unprecedented period of global economic uncertainty."

So let's just recap her 3 achievements as Everton CEO:

Restructuring the organisation
Is this a euphemism for "taking Everton to the Championship"?

Relocating the Club to its Royal Liver Building HQ
Oh hang on lads, this is a big achievement. She managed to move our headquarters to a building owned by, *checks notes*, our owner. Stunning achievement. I bet she helped paint the place too. Salt of the earth.

Progressing the development of the Club’s new stadium
Now fair play, no CEO in the history of capitalism has ever delivered any kind of infrastructure. And I mean, it must have been really difficult to secure that funding. Oh hang on, that came from the owner too? Err... maybe she helped Dan Mies sketch it?

Utter joke. And the worst thing is, these clowns believe their own hype.

Yeah by Mike Bassett, Ron Benson and Tony Hedges

Restructure - Clearly failed as we’re worse than we ever were before she took up the role.

Office move - Could have been done by a fella in a Transit for £200 cash in hand.

Stadium - Absolutely zero experience in anything of the sort so will have minimal involvement.

I regret trying to read much of that. Seemed a giant pile of legalese to disguise the truth and then outright lies. I wonder who put that out thinking "Yeah, this will do, they will respond well to this"
It sums up exactly what complete mugs they take the Everton fanbase for.

They've gotten away with it before, so it's no surprise they are still trying to pull the wool over supporters' eyes.

It doesn't wash anymore though. Their time is up and they are beginning to realise it.

That's what the FAB are there for.

I wish they’d come out and tell us how where in this situation an no others club is , sky put up a list of the top 10 net spends since 2017 we weren’t even in it !

Because we don’t make any money as a club. P&S isn’t about net spend, it’s about exactly what it says on the tin, profit and loss. I don’t know why people struggle to understand this so much.

There is some truth to that, but not totally. We basically begin a new cycle this summer where a lot of contracts that have come off the books finally allow for some breathing room, plus the money from Gordon is an injection

Whether the club loosenes the purse strings is a different question, but there will be plenty of FFP flexibility this summer.

We won’t be free of the FFP shackles until we stop losing £100m per year as a business.

This says it all btw. Not even a hint of contrition. Nothing more than a bunch of amateurs who are petrified of losing their extremely well paid jobs.
