It's not about entitlement

People are skint - and the 'product' that's being served up at the moment doesn't justify the expense

Imagine looking at your kid at the end of 90 minutes thinking "I could have gone to Alton Towers instead with you today"
I don’t expect anything and I doubt I’ll ever stop going despite my occasional grumbles but if you sit down and think what Everton has cost you over the years , in terms of tickets , travel , beer etc and in my case at least one relationship and other bits it’s a sobering thought and one best not dwelt on.

would I change it though , I don’t think so and that’s probably even more of disturbing assessment.

Not to mention years off our lives.

That’s probably more the issue with the expense. The deal has been the same for fans since the start of watching football. You ‘support’ the team, whether that’s through good times or bad times. The difference is a few decades ago the price wasn’t prohibitive.

Now the price is so astronomical that people are asking if it’s worth paying it unless they’re being entertained every week.

That’s never going to happen for the majority of the teams playing in the top two divisions which is why a lot of people are going to non league teams to watch better value for money.

You can’t change football though, there’s only going to be one Man City, I’ve even heard Arsenal fans comparing their defensive tactics aren’t worth the ticket prices. United fans did the same under Mourinho. Most teams are not going to be able to play the way the fans think deserves the ticket entrance.

Can’t change the nature of football so should change the ticket prices.

But this is entitlement is it not? Just because it's expensive won't make everton entertaining every match. It's the same expense for every other fan too so for us to be playing well to entertain another fan is not happy. We are an average to poor side so supporting isn't really about entertainment.
Just my take, as you say it's your money and if you think your kid would get more out a day at alton towers that's your decision to make. Think a weekly/monthly trip there would soon get more boring than a weekly trip to footy though.

I have to say that I have never heard a complaint from either of my two sons who share a season ticket nor from two granddaughters who have been regular attendees on extra tickets. Sons have been regulars for 40 plus years and their girls for around 3 years.
