Not Safe For Work! The Fit Birds Thread MK2

Thank you. You don't have to be, if I'm honest! You just get good at remembering things... lots and lots of things, and need to be a relatively good communicator. Oh and have a strong stomach and nerves for operating.
Medicine was my easiest degree, conceptually.
So, surgical degree and possibly something else to top up? I've no idea what else is required to be a consultant if that's the path. The good and the bad of the responsibility of that career?

Surgical degree is part of medical degree MB ChB Medicinae Baccalaureus Baccalaureus Chirurgiae. I was a scientist prior.
The responsibilities of the career can be stressful, but I practice shared decision making, I inform a patient to help them decide. Only time that doesn't happen is if it's an emergency, e.g they're bleeding internally and have collapsed, or if I think further medical intervention will do more harm than good- generally if they are end of life.
Bad- I went to see a young woman I suspected has cancer, I hugged her, because I took one look at her and knew she likely won't be alive after the weekend.
Good- being grabbed outside Goodison and thanked for saving his son's life. 💙
Edit: 5 years medical school, 2 years as foundation doctor, 7-8 years specialisation to be a consultant.

Impressive mate! You know, I never thought why: 'DrEFC', but I guess it makes sense now.

And you seem to be a decent bloke from what I can tell. ;)

Which is more than what I can say for some of the other medical professionals that I've encountered...

For instance, a while back I went to a dinner party that a mate of mine was hosting, and he had also invited a doctor friend of his.

To be more specific, he was a proctologist.

So I made a joke to break the ice and lighten the mood. I said: 'Wow! A proctologist! And I thought I had a sh.tty job! I guess I'm not the only one who has to deal with as.holes all day!' 🤣

Everyone had a good laugh, except for him. I swear, if looks could kill... 😧

The rest of the night was awkward to say the least.

The original video the best when she in the pool in a bikini and she keeps popping over her top is the best. You can see it on YouTube but it won't let you post it on here
