More likely an "aesthetic technician" under the supposed supervision of a cosmetologist, supervised by an formerly-licensed dermatologist who got the vaunted title of "Dr" by graduating last in his/her class and now owns a "spa" with dubious skin treaments and detox formulas, including chelation therapy.

I know loads of anaesthetists, GPs ect who are now doing this because of the money to be made. Sad imho.
Yep, I know a few nurses do it as a side job too, they have filler parties at houses similar to the Tupperware parties my Mom had in the 70's
Yeah, one group of docs who worked in my ASC ran a medical spa in the Bahamas or somewhere like that as a side business. Lots of dubious therapies, miracle cures and healing elixirs which promised to rejuvenate the mind and body - these treatments were "so far ahead of the FDA" that they had to be done off-shore.
The bad ending to this group:
2 of the 3 got popped for drug abuse and writing bad scripts - one of them showed up stoned for surgery one day, so we got to have a fun trip to the lab for blood, urine and hair samples and then his wife picked him up to take him back to rehab - she filed for divorce the next day.
Good times.
