Firstly I acknowledge it has its challenges as its high volume custom to service in a very limited time. I also acknowledge that it's minimum wage and they struggle for staffing. Further more yesterday was the first game of the season so likely to be a lot of new staff starting for the first time.

However it's continually crap service at these all around the ground. Even if you go down early you struggle to get served and have time to eat and drink before the second half starts due to the long waiting time and general inefficiency of the staff there and their systems. Which is sound as you're not expecting five star but you're paying premium prices so it could be a lot better.

On top of this they run out of stuff that they advertise too easily, so that's poor stock control. I think it's out sourced this isn't it? They need to put pressure on who is operating it to improve it.

The new bogs are ace though.

Same in the Fanzone yesterday. Chang pumps packed in so ended up with bottles for the same price as pints and they also ran out of change. If they took cards it wouldn't be a problem.

It's only when you go to stadiums like the Emirates do you appreciate how awful both our service is and the quality (inc. selection) is atrocious.

Clearly the limitations on space in areas of the ground is a massive issue for the quality of service they can provide, but it is a massive negative.

Took ten minutes to get my cheese and onion (with potato) pie and pint of change; both were rank so had a few swigs and forkfuls and then binned.

Problem at virtually every ground I've been to tbh, including Wembley.
I've worked a lot of bars over the years, it baffles me that they don't line up stacks of 3/4 filled pints before the main rush then top them up, just have some staff dedicated to doing that, some dedicated to finishing and serving. You know roughly how many you'll be knockin out and over what time. Basic bar management.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Their most in demand product is the same one that takes the most to prepare so you should have someone dedicated to ensuring there's a ready supply of it.

No though. That's too common sense, in a place where there's no common sense.

Not being able to pay on a card is poor. Appreciate it would cause delays back in the day of chip and pin but with contactless now...

Contactless will be in Goodison soon I'm sure.
