Anyway, next take over and what not.

Do you think John Moores was a good man?

He was a sectarian bigot and he ran a gambling business.

There's no clean money in top flight football. If you cant handle that then maybe it's not an environment for you.
Deary me, Dave. I will be quoting this message of yours back to you the next time, and every time, you try to moralise about whatever your next crusade is. Your descent into parody continues apace.

He started the Limewoods pools company up two backed out - he carried it through to the Littlewood's empire - he ran Everton FC like Littlewood's a total businessman - all top businessmen have to be ruthless Dave that's OTT from you - we won trophies under his loans & that's all they were interest free ....
He was a great man for Everton FC & in those days he was also on the board of LFC as it was allowed back then - he chose us without him no fantastic ground - a fantastic Training Ground - no trophies under this regime & you post that GUFF -

He would turn in his grave if he looked at our position now ! Furthermore, he was a big EFC fan, he sacked a manager in a taxi as 6th position was not good enough ....
The season after with his loans we won the league with a more ruthless manager ....
He like total football & that's what he gave our club !

Dave, I usually accept many of your arguments and you know this, but the above is a bit disgraceful tbh. John Moores had given up being part of the pools business before becoming EFC chairman. He oversaw a successful period for Everton and was revered by those of us around at the time. I’ve no idea if you were even alive at the time, but Littlewoods was also a very successful clothes company and had been for many years. John Moores as you know has the University named after him. I think trying to undermine or taint his name to make a point on a football forum inextricably linked to him is somewhat irreverent tbh. I don’t mean to have a go at you, but I do think you should reconsider this post…..

Whatever you do, do not research John Bramley-Moore.

When I was about 8 years old I was walking down Boundary Lane/Road near Bootle golf course to a mate's house on the Ford estate. It was hammering down and I mean hammering down, no coat on. A big posh car stopped and the driver told me to get in before I drown. The older bloke (as I saw him to be) in the back asked where I was going as he shuffled over to the other side of the seat. He asked me who I support and when I said Everton he said he did too. I got dropped off on the main road at the top of the Ford estate (he likely didn't want the car taken in there in case it got bricked!). I just said "Thank you" and as the car pulled away the number plate was JM1 and it was a Rolls Royce/Bentley.

@davek You may well think I'm lucky he didn't diddle me on the way to Ford and his kindness to me doesn't make him a good man but the many charitable causes he and his legacy also founded and supported would say otherwise. I truly feel sorry for you, pal, I really do. I hope you get over whatever has made you so miserable and bitter about everything and everybody. All the best.

You need to educate yourself. There's NOTHING I said about Moores there that wasn't true.

His own biographer (his niece Barbara Clegg, btw) provided multiple cases of his sectarianism and how it affected his life and business management.

I read something on 'news now' this afternoon, that stated that TFG wanted Moshiri to take out indemnity insurance against things going badly in the 777 loan case, Moshiri was reported to 'not be minded' to do so. Can't remember what site they were quoting. I haven't got a Scooby if that is even possible to do, but, this article seemed to suggest it was the main reason for the breakdown of the deal.
Would not surprise me at all. That 777 loan was insane. All of these loans are just to save Moshiri not having to dip his hand in his pocket again yet ironically they are halting any take over and with each failed one his return from sale gets smaller and smaller.
