If Toyota were to become the stadium sponsors, e.g., The Toyota Arena, then I could live with that. If we are going to be "branded" - and we are - then far better a gold-chip brand than, say, the Tesco Dome or USM Arena.

I'm not trolling anyone.

There's a distinct possibility that they'd focus on Juventus. But the details of any deal have yet to emerge yet on just how they'll invest in the club and what strings will be attached to it and that's of no concern to most.

And you and others haven't addressed the very legitimate concern that we'll see our club lose its identity by being seen as part of a group of clubs...we all saw that happen with 777 and how all those clubs become lost in the wider association they have with their owners. But hey, what's 146 years worth of heritage....?

Behave yourself Dave, you're obviously trolling the forum, you do it all the time and this is just the latest thing that allows you to

I've seen you do this @davek for the past 15 years. It's your MO

Pretty interesting...goes right through the Groups expansion from the 70's right through to today.

Might need to give that read--done very well being a regional distributor for an upstart import car company which just happened to become the biggest car company in a world and in a region which just so happens to be one of the most car-hungry in the world. Hopefully they're decent people as well. Been to Toyota stadium several times and never matched Toyota to Gulf States, but I guess it makes sense they have (limited) branding rights as well.

Very astute family,regardless of what posters are saying.

They bankroll Texas Republican governors and senators, for sure.

Just wondering what the resident yanks on here feel about that?

@SerenityNigh @LinekersLegs etc....
Id wager 90% of billionaires in the US outside of some social media/tech companies donate to republicans and I couldnt care less. Dells office was backing the Bell/Downing bid and hes a big republican donor, MSPs ownership is republican. Vici had unknown western billionaires, and Manoukin had a saudi. Sounds like you are out of perfectly agreeable billionaires, but then again I figured that was all of them.
