You're using THAT as the reason you are against him mate.

Give it a break for a day.

The Italian ultras idolize Rossi and in no way shape or form is it based on anything besides that.
De Rossi at Roma would be like Rooney managing Everton: based on nothing except pure sentiment. Roma are massive underachievers. They aren't in the same league as Inter, Juventus, and Milan in terms of success - and they really should be - so they are left, not unlike us, with nothing more than sentimental heroes.

De Rossi has ZERO managerial record. He was appointed on name and sentiment alone.

Sacking him might upset the locals, but it's a no-brainer. And it seems to have had a desired effect already if last night is anything to go by...

Aside from this coming from out of nowhere (and I think being the best group of the interested parties) the timing is not bad either. Theres a decent stretch till january to sort out any issues in the takeover. Assume they get in soon they can set up a backroom etc a month or two before the window opens. frustrating Dyche is rightfully under pressure but with the team relatively healthy and with a favorable schedule from now to november, Friedkin can have a little cushion likely weighing replacements. Regardless of frustrations I think we can muster some points over that stretch maybe even to the point where we are out of the bottom three come the new year or at least december. That said it will be completely acceptable to replace him regardless of the form by then but we may be able to operate with a little less panic in the january market.

Lot of interesting questions. State of Thelwell who they may favor with DoF. Do they simply place Lina Souloukou with us lol post quitting. We shall see

Btw Dave, they went out after he was sacked and battered Udinese 3-0 for their first win this season.

I wonder if he'll spend in January, he put 100m into Roma which is unheard of in Italy. Would love to get 2 fullbacks and another tricky player.

Could happen depending how the relationship was between then both, but is something that could happen. The board situation will be the first changes we can really see how the friedkin takeover wants to go

And this is a big part of why they gained exclusivity and did dye diligence in June/July.

They'll be owning us in ten days

There's a suggestion DD was done in the summer by PL and they passed.

I should imagine a business with 11bn going through it in a year will be fine financially.

Either way, they will effectively be running the company now as a debt holder.

No mate. I'm vigilant from day one. That's the only way to come at this.

They are meddling owners.

They are here to financially exploit the new stadium and through it the fans.

They're the owners of multiple clubs and they'll place us in Roma's shadow...as will the world's media.

They are all wrong for us.

They own one club mate - Roma, who are the other clubs as you're saying multiple?

Do you think so mate? I thought De Rossi was idolised there.
Rooney certainly isn’t idolised by us. Can’t stand him personally

Is strange when you think about it because you would think he will want soend money to get us safe. But at the same time would he really go out big when both dyche and thelwell could both be gone

I'm also not sure why sone are saying it'll take months .

Once the papers are submitted it can take anything from 10 days minimum to 'at most' four weeks, with the average coming in at around two weeks.

The ones which took a lot longer (Newcastle etc) was entirely down to it being during the pandemic and lockdown.

By mid October at the latest Friedkin will have the league approval and be the new owner.

Newcastle are also being taken over by a corrupt state.

Freidkin is a very successful conglomerate owner.

In terms of turnover, they are on another level. Put the turnover of Liverpool and United together, for the last 10 YEARS, and you still.havent got close to what they have generated in sales on a single year.
