Yes mate. We're seeing the Americanisation now in small shifts like the HT interview and dressing room access which I think will be phased into broadcasting next season?

You and I have spoken about this for years (the greedy eye of US investors in the PL looking to maximise broadcasting rights).

Tbh though I dont think 'Abba' style AI footy coverage is up my street or a lot of others! I'd swerve anything of that nature but some supporters these days might be tolerant of it.

Think we get to the stage mate were a ticket for a game will be hundreds of pounds and be largely sold out to event junkies - just like the NFL.

There is a massive untapped broadcasting market out there and its really undermined by 3:00pm black out. The game is global now and the days of people paying £100 plus for a sky package to watch their selected 2 games over a weekend are over - people are spending small fortunes cumulatively for dodgy boxes and the like to watch all their teams games - there is no all alternative. If I'm the PL or an owner I'm looking at that and saying lets give the people the product legally and affordably and we get that cash. Develop an app that you can down load a season pass for all your team games or on a per game basis etc - be worth a small fortune. The technology is definitely there you can do it in places outside Europe.

In the future i do see 3d cameras at the game, linked up to a broadcast feed where you can sit at home with a pair of VR goggles on and see the match and around the ground as if your there, all for a cost of course.

Long term i think the play from American owners and other investors is a new ESL league in some form, i think multi club models or owning multiple clubs is with this in mind, when it comes to brokering it someone like TFG can say - well i can give you both Roma and Everton but i want ............ feel its going to be inevitable in some form, whether its hybrid or not, but the clubs will take on the powers at be again - no doubt and learn from their last mistakes.

The new champs league format shows us already that people don't want a new league
They want a cup competition back.

We could do with hooliganism back for a few years and destroy 'the product'!!....obvioulsy not Liverpool levels of murder, like.

I take your point about the cost placing this finally out of the reach of the vast majority eventually - which is why I cant understand anyone debating the virtues of new owners: to me, they're all rapacious vampires. We should detest them all as a matter of course. They're coming in here to hike prices through the roof and anyone calling these people "Dan" are kidding themselves if they think he's anything other than a first rate 💩.

On a practical level they need to start streaming all away games onto those giant screens we have at all our better stadiums now - the club were trumpeting their arrival this week at the new stadium. Start live streaming our away games on those and around the concourses so people can experience the stadium on every non-home match day...obviously at a massively reduced price from a live game there. It'll be the only chance most get eventually of connecting physically with the club apart from stadium tours.
