Gnonto and potentially a LB would be a decent Jan
Yeah that ship surely has sailed with his new contract, unless he has a buy out clause if they don’t come up. There is better for a lot less out there, just hope if Kevin is still here come summer he doesn’t try and go back in for him.gnonto ffs mate
Even if a decent attacking right back was available do you honestly think Dyche would select him ahead of Young? We don't need much in January, especially when the best players will only be available in the summer. If there was a progressive set of wing backs available that would be brilliant, but it's hardly likely. I guess it will all depend on whether we're looking to get out of a relegation battle or not. If we're comfortably above the drop zone I can see the club staying exactly at it is. There will be a lot of turnover in the summer anyway what with contracts up and loanees heading back.
Even more so that they will be giving a manager funds that potentially might not be here in a few months.A lot of January's potential purchases will also rely on how much TFG trust and want Thelwell in charge.
I tend to agree.A lot of January's potential purchases will also rely on how much TFG trust and want Thelwell in charge.
This would be my guess as well. The only January business I half expect is Beto being sold back to Serie A. And loaning out some kids of course.I tend to agree.
In some respects if you are leaving Dyche in position but intend to replace in the summer there is probably little point making signings.
Dyche either won't play them ( O'Brien) or they become irrelevant under a more progressive manager next season.
So , if you are TFG and want to start a rebuild in January Dyche has to go.
I suspect that unless things go very badly wrong in the next 2 months they won't tinker too much until the end of the season.
I'd be all over Tariq Lamptey. Especially if we had a chance of getting him on loan. Plays right or left and far better than any full back we've had in years. We don't need much in January, especially when the best players will only be available in the summer. Not sure about that, he’s also more of a wing back, he’s never looked that great defensively and it matters not, because dyche ain’t plying a defender who’s 5ft nothingI'd be all over Tariq Lamptey. Gnonto has been publicly agitating for a move for 3 windows now yet no other club has come in for him either. Why? Attitude? There are sufficient other and cheaper options out there with less risk attaching.Yeah that ship surely has sailed with his new contract, unless he has a buy out clause if they don’t come up. I doubt this happens in December.According to iNews, Everton sources keep on bringing up the two words ‘on track’ when finding out details about the takeover.
‘While sources shy away from calling anything imminent – they remain at the mercy of external forces in terms of the timeline – the word is that things remain “on track” and there is a measure of optimism that the Friedkins will have control by Christmas.
‘No one will offer any guarantees on that and the ongoing court case involving Leadenhall Capital and A-Cap, who have taken over the club debt owed to 777 Partners, will need to be resolved. It may be that further work on that agreement is required – although there remains “confidence” that hurdle can be overcome.
‘No one foresees any problem with the Premier League’s enhanced OADTs, which require proof of funds, a short and medium term business plan and names of directors, or getting FCA approval. That process can take a couple of months, which would take us to December.’
Everyone who understands this process is suggesting December is a reasonable timeframe.I doubt this happens in December.
Probably by the end of this season.
