Coleman stays if he wants. Legally. Contractually.
Nothing the new owners can do about it

I can only presume that the poster was trying to suggest that if Coleman's contract expires at the end of the season ( as reported ) that Coleman is able to exercise an option to extend for 12 months. Are you claiming that he has already signed a deal to June 2026?
HmmmmI can’t say how I know. I don’t want to lose my job. I won’t post anything similar in future.
We’ve got a deal agreed with a striker in January too, by the way.
Be very surprised if the club gave a player at that point of his career, the option to extend it himself.I can only presume that the poster was trying to suggest that if Coleman's contract expires at the end of the season ( as reported ) that Coleman is able to exercise an option to extend for 12 months.
It's possible but I've never heard this rumoured or suggested before.

Yeah, that sounds like a clause on a property lease contract or a service levy agreement, not something that would be added to a player's contract.Be very surprised if the club gave a player at that point of his career, the option to extend it himself.
Is there any factual or anecdotal evidence of this happening with any football player, ever?Be very surprised if the club gave a player at that point of his career, the option to extend it himself.
I stand to be corrected, but I think in the old versions of that PC game 'Football Manager', there was an option to do something like this when you signed new players? Is there any factual or anecdotal evidence of this happening with any football player, ever?
That’s delicious. I can just imagine Dan rocking up to the Liver building with his compaq windows 95 PC and an original copy of football manager to load up and see if he can jib Coleman off or not. His first signing will be a 50 year old Nii Lamptey.I stand to be corrected, but I think in the old versions of that PC game 'Football Manager', there was an option to do something like this when you signed new players?
Well, I'm about 90% sure that fat American mess that owns Chelsea, Boehly, runs the club like he's playing Football Manager with the cheat codes on!That’s delicious. If you’re correct then it certainly puts some perspective on a particular poster
Fat Todd has very little say at Chelsea these daysWell, I'm about 90% sure that fat American mess that owns Chelsea, Boehly, runs the club like he's playing Football Manager with the cheat codes on!

would you be as opened minded if you were in a dark room and told to feel your way out but all you could feel was what you believed to be rock hard rods? but you switched the light on and it turned out to be erect willies? these are better then most we have been linked or nearly got into bed with i reckon by my own thoughts not what i’ve readThink the jury is very much out on TFG and appointments to the footballing Dept mate. I haven’t been enthused by what they’ve done at Roma on that score. But I’m also open minded.
Much more impressed with their investment and his they have recovered the business. Which in itself allows a margin of error.
