Roma obviously have lofty ambitions for themselves, and their managers are under pressure to perform. Our current manager waltzes into press conferences 20mins late, talks absolute none sense after games and sets us up against lower opposition like we are playing Real Madrid away. This is a man who is under no pressure at all, can’t wait for the Friedkins to show him the door. If you don’t perform, you lose your job, like anyone else. Not sure how this is a bad thing.

That one man was the most negative influence on the club in its entire history. I hope for a world in which we don't even have to talk about the damage he did because we're looking forward to regaining our status. Sadly that's not the case right now.

Backed by so many, all those fan channels refusing to go after King Bill, some even taking selfies with him,who needs Kopites when you have “blues” like that

Dont mind it just want to have more thought when bringing in a new manager and not bring in the wrong one that look like they did. 100% agree when looking at dyche here whatever bs the media say that record is a disgrace didnt even win a game when the other teams scored first for dont even kno how long, home record list goes on. Have to demand more here from the manager and players

The combination of takeover and new stadium is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build a brand new club.

And that's what's required.

The culture has to be flushed from the club because it is a "plucky", "we had good times", "what would the Everton board do?" culture of fake modesty, shoestring investment, low ambition, underachievement, and charitable deflection.

New stadium, new owners, new club.

The Everton we loved died, pretty much, around the time Neville Southall sat at that goal post, which, coincidentally, was around the time somebody joined our board and ate the club from within for the next 35 years. We had echoes of that great Everton since, but they faded quickly. We were a top club. If our new vision is not to be a top club again, then it's over anyway.
Another reason Moyes should be nowhere a list for our next manager.
I think him with his knife to a gunfight quotes and eulogising about how great his mate Bill was for the club would just about finish me off.

Clean sweep and nothing less.

Moshiri would have let him do as much damage as possible for a further 3 months leaving the season unrepairable. These guys are being paid millions to do a job under pressure and if they aren't capable of doing it then stop paying them and get rid.

P.S Bye Dyche. 😂

We'll see quite quickly how insane it really is. Mancini wasn't available when they appointed Juric, now he is. If they have got him lined up few would argue that isn't an upgrade for the long term.
Yes I can see that but I also think there has to be some degree of integrity - appointing someone for them to try and settle in only to remove them for a better manager may be a good move for the club, but just stinks a little for me.

I agree, but there is no sentiment in this business mate and that’s been one of our biggest issues at board level, worrying about how things look and being obsessed with doing it the right way.

If they want the best person, they won’t care about the person they are getting rid of. They just want results.

We’ve not exactly been shy of sacking people to be fair. There are plenty of things the board have made a mess of but one criticism I’m not sure you could level at them is being overly patient with managers.

I will be interested to see how that quote/way of thinking goes into Everton and what the response would be.

Personally I think they have a tough job, it’s been an old mates act for years with club,ex players, media , fans getting freebies etc and that will be difficult to shift immediately.

You only have to look at how quiet or very hesitant to call things out a lot of people were during the headlock farce .

Fair one mate, and we have, but we’ve left the likes of Lampard and Koeman in place too long if I remember right.

I suppose I was thinking of the way we have employed and kept ex players in some capacity working at the club, like Kenwright did with Jose Baxter and Jeffers.

True.
Its some of the appointments to begin with that should never have happened, Lampard and FSW for starters.
For years to come Lampard will be on the box saying one of his greatest managerial achievements was saving us from relegation - ignoring that it was largely down to his ineptitude to begin with.
