The Funeral of Queen Elizabeth Saxe-Coburg-Gotha (Windsor)

I've watched all of ot because it is a historic occasion. Have been so impressed with armed forces and the dignity. Completely dispassionate about it. Until they brought her pony and the corgis out at Windsor to see the coffin go by. That was the only time I've been sad.

I haven’t watched any of it before the funeral. I don’t watch much live TV anyway, but I don’t subscribe to this idea that we have been inundated with it, yes there have been on 3 or 4 channels, but there are 70 TV channels that are free to air, before you even get into the streaming services and SKY and Virgin.
I am more bothered by the political side of things, that certain people are looking to sow further division and push for a break up of Britain and the commonwealth

mate i listen to the radio and its been nothing but people speaking on behalf of the whole world on how much she was loved globally by every citizen. I am pretty sure every chat group I am in hasn't been in the least bit bothered. Such nonsense all of it. Just burn her and be done so we can all listen to the radio again. Christ she died yonks ago, talk about dragging it out.

They were only allowed to wear uniform for the vigils at Westminster Hall

They are not working royals anymore so can't wear it, Charles had to give permission for them at the vigil.
Bit sad really should have let them for the day.
But I suppose not many would want to see Andrew in it these days.

Working royals? Is that in the same way most of us see work. Set hours, clocking in and out,set holiday entitlement,limits of sick pay,time off for births family deaths etc?

I don't know but I wouldn't apply for it if I could. Everyday of your life planned put years in advance.
Surrounded by absolutely every tory under the sun from breakfast to dinner it sounds like he'll on earth for me.
They are welcome to it.
Then again I am Catholic so nothing down for me anyway .

Weird, I don’t listen to the Radio much, but when I have, over the last few days, it’s either music or people talking about football. Dont disagree with that at all. The wall to wall coverage, whilst I can kinda get why, is so OTT.

I hate to be the bearer of even more bad news, (took me a few minutes to find it as the name escaped me) but it's been Eldar's - Nimrod thats backed the adverts all day so far. (not bad news really, its a hell of a piece and its blotted out some of the pain from the organ in the cathedral earlier)
