two once-in-a-lifetime events in cities i live/lived which i missed for no real reason:
- Pink Floyd: the classic line-up at Live 8 in London.
- Usain Bolt breaking his own 100m & 200m world records by a ridiculous margin at the Berlin World Championships.

still...great memories watching 100m events on the telly over the years, Linford's death stare was something to behold. but my favourite sprinter is probably Michael Johnson, who never did the 100. loved his hypnotic running style.
Big fan of Bolt too...he's unique like Johnson in that it's his original running style which sets him apart, in Usain's case he takes lesser strides due to his tall frame, the kind of frame not usually suited to short sprints.
