Since the UCI was forced into doing something about the endemic drug cheats in the sport, British cyclists have won three Tour de France and fourteen gold medals. I think there is a very good argument to be made that whilst the rest of the world was spending years trying to out-beak each other, Brailsford was actually working out a way to win legitimately and repeatedly.
