Kristina Vogel, who won gold with the German team sprint squad in London in 2012, told German media: “I don’t want to accuse anyone of anything, but it’s certainly questionable. They come en masse at this high level and I have no idea how they do it.”

At previous competitions since London 2012 the Brits were “cannon fodder”, she said. “I don’t know if they didn’t train for three years. They must be doing something right.”
 
British Cycling - membership is £21 to £72 per person per year.

Contribution to funding. Plus lottery funding.

Makes the TeamGB cycling team like a Formula1 team.

They are the best funded cycling setup in the world, and their only focus is the Olympics. If they were doping, they would do better at the other tournaments.

Not sure what his personal loss has to do with anything, like.

Nothing against the guy. Just think if you're being paid to talk on air to millions you should be able to avoid verbal cock ups like that. I'm sure he'll regret it himself and I doubt he meant anything by it.

You can't absolutely sanitise absolutely everything.

He said she was his partner's cook. An allusion to traditional gender roles. No harm done really. She'd probably tell him STFU and laugh.

Honestly. We're turning into Americans. Tearing shreds for no reason.

See how they've treated their gymnasts and/or how some of their athletes (female soccer) have behaved.

Turning everything into a microcosm of them selves instead of enjoying the Olympic event.
