The GOT Book Club

Just started reading Bomber Boys by Kevin Wilson. It's basically true accounts of the bombing campaign over Germany for the year 1943. Only started the first chapter but I think his is going to be a really good read.
I also have Band of Brothers books to start when I finish this.

I'm reading the U.S.A. trilogy by John dos Passos - rereading, actually. First read it forty years ago or so. 1200 pages, all together.

America from 1900 to 1930 or so, through a few memorable characters, written from 1929 to 1936. Great writing, amazingly contemporary in hindsight.

Human nature just doesn't change. Recommended.

Just finished this. If you're looking for a good holiday read, this fits the bill.

Its a stand alone, non Harry Hole crime thriller written in typical Nesbo style.

Nesbo had got to be amongst the best crime fiction writers of all time.

If that piques your interest in Bomber command I also highly recommed Bomber boys by Patrick Bishop, Bomber Command by Max hastings and Bomber by Len Deighton. The latter is fictional but full of well researched detail on both sides.
Add to that Martin Middlebrooks accounts of the Hamburg, Berlin and Nuremburg raids. In fact anything by Martin Middlebrook.
