Greetings from Ibiza. Took The Passage away with me. OMG! Thanks for the recommendation. Just finished it. Utterly brilliant. So well written. It's always a good sign when I bond with the characters in a story. I really cared about this lot. One bit had me sitting on my sunbed crying!! Can't wait to start the second one when I get home.

Just finished Ice Twins. Not my usual type of book, but enjoyed it.

The Four Feathers by A E W Mason. A brilliant old school, high adventure story. Highly recommended.

Most of them are absolute gash, just made up nonsense about how hard they are / were.




This is the best hoolie book I've read. It's fiction, but well written. The author is from Birkenhead and very obviously had first hand experience !
