An almighty warriors dance with pink. hmm.

It's funny hearing them say "we don't care what the red [Poor language removed] say" though

i bet that one of these mere pr cats (see what i did there) is a kiwi, "here you are bill, do a haka, guaranteed that Ngati Toa will kick up a stink and get you all the publicity you need, by the time they realise that they haven't legally got a claim it will be too late and you already have your worldwide publicity"

Embarrassing AND it causes an international incident. Hat's off to Robert Elstone. Any man who can out-crass Keith Wyness is something special.

Un-fcuking-believable.

:lol::lol:

Mate, I keep telling you, we have a marketing department. Next you'll be blaming Elstone for Hibbert.

You're right. It's the famous Tom Shettle sitting in his 4'x4' box office surrounded by his pencil sharpener and stapler who's to blame for Hakagate....

God damn him.

it has only become an 'incident' because some lawyer is seeing a potential way of extracting money from the club. the only way these tribes have become rich is by doing this on a regular basis.

Well, thing is dave - when criticising the marketing of the club, the head of marketing has got to take the flak. Thats just how it works.

Your using the principle of blaming Kenwright for any tactical mistakes Moyes makes.

If that's the case, you'd think Everton's legal eagles would have ordered this to be swerved....just like they made sure The People's Club logo was ok to trade under....hold on.....

I tell you what, I remember Keith Wyness one year making a balls up of ordering gear to the tune of a £500,000 loss to the club. His response was that ANYTHING like that on the CEO's watch is their responsibility and held his hands up for it. I wouldn't expect Elstone to waver from that line.

Anyway, someone's to blame for Hakagate.*

well the nz legal people i.e. from the rfu and the tribe in question have stated that there isnt a case to answer legally, as it isnt a rip of their 'sacred' haka, it seems that also they were concerned that our shirt may be mistaken for one of theirs. seems that they also want worldwide rights to black clothing as well.
someone over there has instantly taken the knock and increased the publicity before realising that they have probably been 'sucked in', a case of sticking their Taiaha in their own foot, then when looking down at what they have done, poking their eye out with the other end.
they should apologise for the offence caused to the club with the allegations levelled, the club should take this route to prolong the publicity. then we can all touch noses in the centre circle, accept each others apologies and tap them up for investment.

The Haka is a challenge isn't it?
They still haven't returned the challenge so that means we own New Zealand now. Can someone tell them that please, we'll build the ground is Queenstown.
Nice move Elstone.
