High 20s in the shade of a tree here in Northern Wiltshire ... but unmentioned by the fear mongering media, a wonderful breeze is making it absolutely idyllic. In fact me unsocked feets are even a little chilly!

Pretty rough tbh. Coughing up a whole of phlegm, which tends to mean sleep happens an hour here and there. Really sore throat as, so probably not drinking as much as I should be. Oh, and a headache arrived overnight.

1976 from mid-May till the en of August - I used to go to my works plant Nursery on a motorbike in shorts & pumps 7.30 am started at 7-45 am trees were starting to die in the park we augured big holes & let the hosepipe on all night to save them 100 year Oak trees - this is hot, but it won't last here....

i had a fantastic tan that year ..... under Glass & polythene was unbearable in 1976 - my mate got heatstroke .....off sick .....

I am so glad the government has told me to stay in the shade and drink plenty of water, I was planning to sit in the sun all day and drink hot soup, thanks guys.

Been sitting in the garden since 6 drinking tea, nice and cool after a hot and sticky night. First night of the year when the quilt slept on top of the quilt.
