I think he was trying to gain the fans favour by 'agreeing' with them. A sort of "Yeah, you were right to boo, we were awful, but it's not my fault, it was 'im, Capello. Exactly this. He should've been saying all this to Capello himself, instead of trying to look like 'one of the fans' to the press. Hasn't he p!ssed off some players by dropping them in it regarding drinking after the game aswell?
