Not really bothered we have not signed anyone in January, prices today have confirmed it's not the season for Everton, arsenal and Utd etc, the summer will be a big test for Bill and Davy.
 
I think people are forgetting, without signing anyone we still have a team capable of matching any other in this league. Of course it would be nice to add a few to the squad but id rather not just bring in bodies for the sake of it.

We have lost 6 games in total this season out of 27(im not counting the pens v brentford), and although we have had loads of frustrating draws, we are not too far away from competing at the top end of the table. Yes, we are gonna need luck to avoid injury to certain players but lets worry about that when/if it happens.

Lets get trough this period and hopefully the boardroom issues will be sorted in the summer. I personally am not arsed about bringing in some journeyman who is not good enough to get into our team anyway and pay them wages to sit on the bench.

Torres fee agreed with chelsea, seems definite.
(i mean, since Carroll could still fail medical, i guess)

I'm loving this, because this means it's another oppurtunity for Distin to put that little frucker in his back pocket. Third time this year, for the replay, and the fourth time on our last league game (which will be a must-win relegation battle with the title retainers unless Charlie Adam agrees to come here out of the love in his heart)

ha ha i no, in a sad way ill miss this thread... used to feel a bit sorry for oul bill, met him at a game once thought he was decent enuf, now i only can express feelings of anger and betrayal lol. I think that i could mayb have more money than him, and i by no means have a lot of money ha ha
 

Looks like we will see beattie back at goodison saturday.. how our expectations have gone up since we celebrated the signing of him a few years back.

Sadly I have to agree - A few years back he was getting cold feet and aparentley had a conversation with the late great Sir Bobby Robson - who put things into perspective with his achievements at ipswich town over many years and what a privilige it is to manage a top flight club for so long. This I think turned his head back to us, but now he has had his hands tied etc etc...... and the club has been left behind, overtaken by the likes of Sunderland and Stoke :(
