At least we made a profit on him. Plenty of other signings were we made terrible losses - Gbamin, Tosun, Walcott, Schneiderlin et cetra.

Also, there were issues with Onyekuru's work permits which, to a degree, were out of our hands.

Issue for me wasn't so much who we bought but who we didn't.. We never looked like we were even trying to replace Lukaku until we bought Beto.
Many signings turned sour in hindsight.. only a few we suspected were unsuitable before they arrived - Tosun being obvious.
I'm on the Gomes and Bernard were always pants bus so can add them to the list.
