Joe Walsh reunion concert with The James Gang - known as The American Cream ..... as they supported them on their first big gig, only 3 of the group turned up for The James Gang - enter Joe Walsh -

Something that I put together for the 'Keep Me Believing' remix competition a few months back. However, I only found out about the comp about 3 days before the deadline and never managed to finish this on time.
I finally got around to finishing this off a few weeks back for a mix set and thought I'd put it online to see what people think.

It's still very melodic and commercial like the original, but is slowed down to a groovier 130bpm.

Let me know what you think!

My first computer was a Commodore 64 back in the late 80's (Showing my age here)
I used to love all the chip tune music from that system, so I've made this remake/remix/cover of one of my favorites - the loading theme for Parallax!

This is more for a bit of fun rather than a serious tune, I really like the style of the old C64/Amiga music era, so this is my little homage in trance form - maybe I'll do some more?

Well I've thrown the phrase 'chilled out' in there like it doesn't rock into a big tribal drums section at the end... it's chilled out by my standards OK? lol

I wanted to work on something a little different and had the acapella sitting around in my samples folder for ages. Figured as there's a bazillion dance remixes out there, I'd do something a little bit more cinematic. And this is the result!

I've noticed that going back to older tunes for inspiration has been popular recently, so I thought "When in Rome..."
Coincidentally 'When in Rome' was the working title for this tune for most of the production process!

I decided to go for that late 90's UK based uplifting sound made popular by the likes of Darren Tate, Matt Darey & Rob Searle.

Let me tell you, I had an absolute blast making this track!
It gave me an excuse to dive into my collection of 90's era legacy sample packs for some of the sounds.
The 909 drums are from the 'Goldbaby Tape808 & Tape909' pack, which is a selection of 909 & 808 samples fed through various hardware tape saturators.
There's also some loops from the 'Ueberschall Houseworx' pack and some effects and various samples from some of the 'Zero G Datafile' series.

Most of the synth work was made with Adam Szabo's 'JP6K' VST, which is an emulation of the Roland JP8000/8080 synths popular during that era of
trance production.

I went as far as adding some light DAT Tape hiss in the background to give that authentic era sound.
I was also tempted to add vinyl crackle and lower the bitrate to 128kbps to give that authentic 'downloaded from Napster' feel, but decided that was taking it all bit too far!

Anyway, this is just a bit of fun from me and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed producing the track.

I can see myself staring at my hands in the air in front of strobe lights to this.

Very nice ?

The guitar thread reminded me that we have a lot of musicians on here. Not sure if there is a thread for this already but this is a place for the talented people of GOT to post their material. Pretty sure @Old Blue 2 will have something to contribute, and @mezzrow if I'm not mistaken?

This is all my stuff going back 10 years, a few EPs. I was a trainwreck of nerves on stage, so any career I might have hoped to pursue was quickly dashed after a few repeated bed-soilings, but I did like the studio and the composition element of music. Show us your tunes

After the Bomb.

Loving that Prev. Divine Comedy must be an influence.

The super talented Magdeleyna posted the original of this over on the Trancefix forums a few weeks back and has been nice enough to let me have a go at remixing his gorgeous chillout piece into something more... energetic!

A bit random but couldn't see anywhere else to post this.

Anyone fancy a ticket to see OMD next Tuesday (23rd) in the Olympia?

I live away these days and can't get back to Liverpool for the day.

PM me if you're interested xoxox

P.S. Please sing Demari Gray to the tune of Enola Gay
