Yeah, apologies if I played a part in it. Probably got a bit caught up in giving gip to posters whose views I felt were questionable. I don't apologise for disagreeing with them, but I do apologise if my mickey taking went too far. The other problem is it probably feeds the troll. Thanks, though admittedly my moderation was mainly just reminding other moderators to not moderate it. We're not arbiters of truth/you make a rod for your own back when you try and moderate current affairs. Not to mention the precedent it sets for the cry arsers who demand an echo chamber.
The only moderation in that forum should have been to forum ban/remove those who aren't suitable for it (they lose their rag and I'd hate for Current Affairs to cause a good blue to no longer be able to post on Grand Old Team), or for really extreme stuff that warrants a permanent ban.
That bold bit there mate, is exactly why I've closed it for the foreseeable.
We bucked the trend for years, I rate this community more than most but it even surprised me. The last 3-4 weeks though - it become no different to any other platform.
It needed a pause. It become a stain on the forum the past month, a bit of rot has started to set in - from all sides.
Can't put my finger on why - not sure if the way the world has become has finally caught up with us, or whether it's because there's no Everton and we've been a bit unlucky with a cycle of users using it...
At least we still have your RB Leipzig thread
Best swerve the Everton forum tooThank God tho really.
As long as I never have to read another post from the lunatics.

10 years as a minimum.Maybe reinstate it but you can only access it if you've been a forum member for a certain length of time, 2 or 3 years or something.

These very same people seem to react terribly to pretend superhero with terrible grammar and very unconvincing American lexicon on an online football forum. For some reason. They were bad people, not a single one was in favour of Snidey returning.

Simply appoint a CA Mod capable of being fair and holding the peace. I propose @the sniderman anytime you wish to unban him.
